"I'll drop it. BTW all you guys aren't true fans HAHA I SAID I WAS DROPPING IT NOW YOU CANT RESPOND OR YOU LOOK LIKE A DICK"
i was dropping the topic of bad fans. Interfering with play from the bench isn't allowed in hockey. If you support it, you're an idiot, in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
My position is that he shouldn't have done it, even though the reaction was hilarious, and that despite that, Montreal fans look like complete horses asses acting indignant about it, pretending that their squad is above such things. Especially when they start tossing around words like "Despicable"

I didn't know that word offended you, "I just got caught up in the moment I guess."
From an entertainment point of view, you're right, it was fucking funny. But from a hockey stand point, it's garbage, and I'm glad we can at least agree on that much.
I would never say that the Habs are a team free of sin. But when a Bruin player crossed the line, shits gonna go through the roof. There is a long history of bitterness to be considered here. It's Habs vs Bruins In the playoffs man. What do you expect?
Before this turns into something more than it should, I'll just drop it. No need to make this a war of fan bases. Besides, I'm clearly out numbered in here.
Final words, Shawn Thorton is the new Sean Avery. I'm allowed to call him a POS for what he did, and anyone who actually defends his actions is not a true fan of the game. Period. He broke the rules, and doesn't feel like he's done anything wrong. That is what is not ok. What he did could have potentially resulted in injury (impairing his vision, distracting him), and Thortons skates weren't on the ice. Sure stupid shit happens, but most of the time, that stupid shit happens while both players are on the ice, NOT during play while the offender is on the bench. It was an idiotic thing to do. Plain and simple.
Only people who have no logic for their argument accuse people of "not being a true fan of the game." Was it a dumb thing to do? Probably. Do I think it was inappropriate IMO? Yeah. Do I think it ruins the game? No fucking way. God you're pretending like if someone is flipped on to the opponents bench the players on that bench don't take cheap shots or "accidentally" spill water on them. You're Habs are a good team and are making this series great hockey to watch. If the Montreal players have an issue with Thorton, go score some goals, win the series, and shut us up. Stop bitching and let your team show their skills (or lack of).
It must really hurt to think how long it has been since they have won a cup. 1993 was a great year!

. An argument could be made that it does ruin the future of the game by sending the wrong message to kids who idolize these players, but I'm not gonna go down that road. Minor hockey is a much bigger deal up here than I imagine it is down there, so these incidents are always blown out of proportion, and that is usually mentioned every time
. This was a unique situation. There's a big difference in what happened, and your example of what happens when players are knocked into opposing benches. But I'm over it. There's a new game tomorrow, and in the long run, all of this doesn't matter. No need to make your digs about the last time we won a cup. I was 9 when they won. A lot has happened between now and then. I'm happy for you, that you got to experience your team hoisting the cup in your adulthood. It's clear we have very different opinions about the game, and the players in it. Bound to happen when these two teams meet. Let's move on and wait for the next big controversy to bitch about.

Sorry about the dig about the cup. I really shouldn't be bashing your teams lack of championships since I'm both a Cubs and Red Sox fan. Boston's just in a really good spot when it comes to sports teams in the last decade so it's easy to gloat. Also, youth hockey is no where need where it should be down here. New England definitely envies Canadian youth hockey. It's definitely good to talk about these issues. Although we don't agree on much, I think we can agree hockey is very easy to get passionate about. That's why you, I, and many others love the game.
Bruins/Habs is definitely one of the best rivalries in sports. Unlike the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry, this great hockey rivalry is based only on skill and distaste for the other team. The Sox Yankees is too involved in money since there is no salary cap in baseball.
I just can't wait for the years to come for both of these teams. In the next 1-4 years, these teams will definitely meet in the Cup playoffs again(maybe all 4 years).
One more thing, do you think the 2016 Winter Olympics will have NHL players or go back to college players?

Well said, both teams have bright futures, all while maintaining high standing in the league.
I think 2018 in Korea (I think) won't have NHL players. But who knows.
"PK is a bad left winger" -Michel Therian. From the start of Subban penalty, to the 3 minutes after it, where the bruins pounded the habs, where the habs had 4 guys who were on the ice for +3 minutes, the habs weathered the storm. That was the time where the bruins could have mounted the come back. The Habs need to do that again, likely for 95% of game 7.
I am satisfied with Montreal forcing a game 7 vs Boston. Of course I want them to win, but I'm honestly not going to be anywhere near as heartbroken if they lose.
Bahaha, I was at game 3 of that series. It's so funny thinking back because everyone was SO SAD leaving, no hope at all. And then a hockey miracle happened.
Also, I'm not saying I was rooting for the Rangers tonight, but I sure am glad the Pens lost.
I shouldn't be mad or surprised after 4 years of the same, it still stings a little. Who am I kidding? It stings ALOT Pens will have to make some changes in the off season starting with Disco Dan
In Montreal, the Bell Centre is holding a viewing party for the game tonight. It sold out (21,752 seats) in 2 hours. Just to sit in a rink and watch the jumbotron. Fuck I wish I was there!
