Justin Timberlake's performance really let me down. Something was obviously wrong with the sound, and if that's what his live show is like, i want no part of it.
....dude.........really? blaming MTV's sound engineers for an entire tour?

umm no....dude..... If i payed $80 for a ticket to JT and he spent 80% of his stage time dancing to his songs being played over the speakers, and occasionally sung along with the track. I would be pretty disappointed. I don't know, I'm not sure what his live show is actually. Just hope it wouldn't be like that. The sound problems just made the performance additionally bad.
Watching good television =/= being good at watching television.
Pigman is trying to prove the Caine-Hackman theory. No matter what time it is, 24 hours a day, you can find a Michael Caine or Gene Hackman movie playing on TV.
I had dinner with my parents and then watched Breaking Bad, but I would of rather watched Big Bang Theory, or just about any other thing on TV over this mess

What was for dinner? I'm guessing meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, and wax beans.

Mercury Prize (Britain) Shortlist Bump:
Arctic Monkeys: AM David Bowie: The Next Day Disclosure: Settle Foals: Holy Fire Jake Bugg: Jake Bugg James Blake: Overgrown Jon Hopkins: Immunity Laura Marling: Once I Was an Eagle Laura Mvula: Sing to the Moon Rudimental: Home Savages: Silence Yourself Villagers: Awayland
Arctic Monkeys: AM David Bowie: The Next Day Disclosure: Settle Foals: Holy Fire Jake Bugg: Jake Bugg James Blake: Overgrown Jon Hopkins: Immunity Laura Marling: Once I Was an Eagle Laura Mvula: Sing to the Moon Rudimental: Home Savages: Silence Yourself Villagers: Awayland
Who ya got?
I'm always impressed with the Mercury Prize shortlists. A lot of diversity, old and new, overrated and underrated. That said, I predicted Laura Mvula would win way before the nominations even came out, so I have to stay with her. But they love them some Bowie and Arctic Monkeys over there, and Disclosure is considered the "surprise" hit of the year in the UK so it'll be tough sledding. The Foals are also one of the favorites on some of the oddsmaking sites I've seen. Here's one current bookmaker odds*:
4/1 David Bowie 'The Next Day' 4/1 Arctic Monkeys 'AM' 5/1 Laura Marling 'Once I Was An Eagle' 5/1 Foals 'Holy Fire' 7/1 Disclosure 'Settle' 7/1 James Blake 'Overgrown' 8/1 Rudimental 'Home' 8/1 Jake Bugg 'Jake Bugg' 8/1 Laura Mvula 'Sing To The Moon' 10/1 Villagers 'Awayland' 10/1 Jon Hopkins 'Immunity' 10/1 Savages 'Silence Yourself'
*PJ Harvey was the overwhelming favorite by oddsmakers in 2011 and she won, Alt-J was not one of the two favorites when the lines closed in 2012, but it was not a huge upset when they won.

Mercury Award given at 4pm Eastern. I think it's between Arctic Monkeys and Disclosure with Foals and Blake as the best upset shots but I'm still pulling for Laura Mvula. Then again, Bowie's never won - hmmm.
