What is your favorite plant? While not a part of the kingdom plantae I find mushrooms and fungus extremely interesting to study. It's one of the most ancient organisms on earth and widely believed to be one the first large structures to appear on land. Not to mention their influence on mythologies from around the world. What is your favorite piece of art? God in 3 Persons by The Residents. It's an incredible piece of art, a total package, from the album artwork, the CD layout, and the music itself, it's epic. The album artwork for Third Reich and Roll also by The Residents which features a portrait of Dick Clark dressed in a Nazi uniform holding a carrot. I'm grinnin from ear to ear just typing that description! What is one artist whose popularity you never understood? The Smiths What was the best part of your childhood? Riding my Huffy out into the open desert when I was living in Phoenix AZ. Excluding the music, what is your favorite part of the bonnaroo experience? The first time I get out of my car after parking, craking open a beer and saying "Howdy Neighbor!". That's the best. If you could make your own coat of arms, what would it feature? Drumsticks, the astrological symbol for Pluto above the I Ching trigram Li (fire), flanked by two F-holes (the sound holes seen on cellos, violins, and other stringed instruments) . If you could change all elevator music in the world, but could only choose between Salsa, Reggae, and Bollywood, what would you choose? Salsa, ans specifically this song, Sade's Smooth Operator as performed by Mongo Santamaria What is one pet you could never have? (not because of landlord rules) Chimpanzee, F*CK those things! What aisle do you often have to bypass when you go shopping, otherwise making your wallet cry? The back left hand corner of Radio Shack where they sell all the electronic components. Transistors, Resistors and Rheostats OH MY!!! When you go driving alone, what do you think about mostly? Making music. What is one DIY project you are most proud of? I call it a Glitch and Groove. It's a children's toy that has 6 drum pads and 8 pre-programmed generic beats that I soldered 4 rheostats, 8 body contacts, and a 1/4 inch jack to it's circuit board. It is the most noisiest thing I've ever built/bent and I love it so much! You can check out some videos of me drunkenly playing with it on my youtube channel. What is something in your house that if a stranger saw it, you'd feel you had to explain yourself? (This can be anything, but mainly funny posters, memorabilia, etc) My circuit bending work table. It's always littered with children's toys splayed open and various bits of wire and electronic components. If you didn't know what I was up to you'd think I was building bombs out of Furbies and Speak and Spells. Are you cold or hot natured? Not sure how to interpret. I Prefer warmer temperatures. On a personal level I tend to be pretty measured so cold? If your house was burning down and all of the living beings inside were safely out, and you had the opportunity to go back in for one thing, what would it be? My record collection. If I could only save 1 item from it that would be "The Lonely Teenager" by The Residents. There are only 200 of them in existence. Cotton, Silk, Satin, or Velvet? Cotton What is the weirdest dream you have had? I dreamed I bought a mansion that had a half buried whale skeleton in the back yard and it was haunted by the ghosts of horses. I have no idea WTF that was all about. Say you have a smartphone... you are only allowed to have one app. Which one do you keep and why? I've yet to move into the smart phone age! So angry birds probably. What is your favorite smell? Campfire or New Tires. Also Sandalwood. You get a night of free rides at the fair. (games included) Where do you spend most of your time? Cyclotron for sure! That thing that spins around and you stick to the wall. It NEVER gets old! What is one invention we will probably never see that you wish would come about? Space vehicles that can travel faster than light and use the properties of quantum entanglement to relay information back to earth. That way if we sent a satellite to an object several light years away we could receive its data in real time rather than having to wait several years for it's signal to reach us. Yeah I'm a nerd. Who is your biggest role model (outside of family)? Hunter S. Thompson or Ken Casey. If you had to get a tattoo (or another if you have at least one already) what would it be/say? Copy pasted from a previous answer - the astrological symbol for Pluto above the I Ching trigram Li (fire), flanked by two F-holes (the sound holes seen on cellos, violins, and other stringed instruments) . Say you could only eat three meals in a cycle for the rest of your life. What would you choose? Breakfast burrito (Eggs, chorizo, bacon, refried beans and roasted tamatillo salsa), Pizza, Whole lobster with Drawn butter roasted asparagus and whipped tarragon potatoes. You're stranded with a bunch of folks on an island. What would your role be? Gardener? Hunter? Carpenter? Leader? Something else? Wilson

What would your ideal stage name be? What would you say your mental age is? Probably about 25. I ove really interesting topics, but can still laugh at absolutely ridiculous things. What's your star sign? Pieces Where are you from? New Orleans Who is your musical inspiration? Probably Trent Reznor, Tool or Radiohead. What are your talents? I've been told I'm funny, and I do love to write. What are your dreams? To live comfortably and do all the things I want without breaking my bank. What do you do for a living? Currently i'm a cashier while finishing up my degree in Process Engineering and I do work for a national non profit called the National Stuttering Association. What is your guilty pleasure? I don't believe in feeling guilty for the things you enjoy. It's a waste. What is your favorite time to go to the supermarket? (believe me, this actually can say a lot about a person!) I really don't have a specific time, but I like to get in and get out. What is your favorite emoticon? the winky one. What is your favorite charity? Giving a homeless guy a drink. If you had a child, (or if you do and would have another one) what would be the first name you would give it? If I had my way it would be Bonaventure, but I already have a dog named that so it would probably be Ripley. What kind of pets do you have? A beautiful five year old Mutt named Bonnie, or Bonaventure. She's the best thing me and my fiancee have done as partners. We love that biznatch. What was the wildest trip you've been on? Prbbably my first Roo in 07, just because we had no idea what to expect. Where have you traveled? All over the United States, Canada, and Mexico Anything else you think is interesting? I love quoting movies? “ Dammit Woman Where's my Super Suit?!”

What would your ideal stage name be? Depends on what kind of band I was in. If I were a blues musician, I'd go with Cracklin' Cornbread. I've always kind of wanted to start a cheesy horror/sci-fi movie metal band, and then I'd probably go by Lobo.
What would you say your mental age is? My wife says 11 anytime I make a joke...
What's your star sign? Virgo. I think... The September one.
Where are you from? Singleton, TN. About 45 minutes from the Farm.
Who is your musical inspiration? Alice Cooper. Not only is he my favorite musician but everything I've seen about him says he's a genuinely good guy. Really intelligent and well-spoken. Married to the same woman for over 30 years. Doesn't feel like he's required to "live the gimmick." Mostly, he leaves it all on the stage. I've seen him 6 times and, since he got off the booze in the early '80s, he doesn't have off nights. He's the ultimate showman.
What are your talents? I don't really have any. I can cook better than most guys, but not good enough to be a chef or anything. I write well enough to make a little bit of money covering music, but not enough not to need a day job.
What are your dreams? To finish and publish one of the dozen or so half-written novels I have.
What do you do for a living? Data Analyst for the State of Tennessee. I work in the Child Services division, but I don't really deal with kids. I mostly translate nerd to social worker and back.
What is your guilty pleasure? I never understood feeling guilty about your pleasures. I freely admit to and embrace all of them. I have a soft spot for niche Metal, the cheesier the better. Manowar, Blind Guardian, any band who sings about slaying dragons or dresses like Vikings. No guilt about any of it.
What is your favorite time to go to the supermarket? About 6 AM. I used to work 3rd shift and shopping at 6 is nice. There's no one there to bother you. There's no line at the checkout. Get your groceries and get out.
What is your favorite emoticon? I don't know that I have a favorite. I tend to use a lot just because my humor is so dry that I have to or people think I'm being serious.
What is your favorite charity? Books from Birth/Imagination Station- It's a Tennessee charity started by Dolly Parton. You sign up when you have a baby and from birth until 5 they send you an age appropriate book per month. Anything that makes kids love to read is ok by me.
If you had a child, (or if you do and would have another one) what would be the first name you would give it? My wife and I are trying. Boy name is Finn Cooper. Girl name is some combination of Arya, Eowyn, and Morrigan. Haven't narrowed it to 2 yet.
What kind of pets do you have? A friend jokingly calls my house the "special needs group home for pets." We have a cat named Alanna who has OCD (she starts freaking out if everything isn't done in the exact same order and time every day), a cat named Freya with ODD (she starts fights with people/creatures at random times for no reason), a dog named Jill with PTSD (she was horribly abused and dumped at the shelter. It took us 5 years for her to let us pet her and even now she won't tolerate it for more than a couple of minutes before she runs away) and a dog named Bosco who, bless his heart, is mentally handicapped. Poor thing is goofier than a pet coon.
What was the wildest trip you've been on? I haven't really been on any wild trips. My dad and I ran out of gas on the way back to Vegas from the Grand Canyon and were accosted by wild burros. Does that count?
Where have you traveled? No place interesting. Vegas, Orlando, Louisville, Atlanta, Tunica. That's about it.
What is your favorite plant? Spinach. It all started with my watching Popeye as a kid. I can eat the shiz out of some spinach
What is your favorite piece of art? It's cliche but "Persistence of Memory" by Dali.
What is one artist whose popularity you never understood? Musical? Phil Collins. I detest Phil Collins. I've been known to leave stores if they put Phil Collins on the radio. Horrid little chipmunk voiced hack.
What was the best part of your childhood? Leaving it behind. I literally moved out of my house on my graduation day.
Excluding the music, what is your favorite part of the bonnaroo experience? The folks I've met from Inforoo. I'm a lurker (if the low post count didn't give that away) but I always get treated like family at brunch.
If you could make your own coat of arms, what would it feature? A Gryphon.
If you could change all elevator music in the world, but could only choose between Salsa, Reggae, and Bollywood, what would you choose? Salsa. It would be an elevator dance party.
What is one pet you could never have? Rat. I'm terrified of them.
What aisle do you often have to bypass when you go shopping, otherwise making your wallet cry? Grocery shopping? The ethnic foods aisle. Any other store? I used to intentionally leave my wallet in the car at Great Escape, our area comic book/rpg/used book/used cd store, and only bring in $20 lest my debit card get abused.
When you go driving alone, what do you think about mostly? Lately? Work. If not work, I'm usually mentally writing my latest article or album review in my head, especially since my 50 mile one way commute to work is where I listen to most of my review albums.
What is one DIY project you are most proud of? This will only make sense if you're one of the people who has seen The IT Crowd, but I built a friend a full size replica of "The Internet" for Christmas.
What is something in your house that if a stranger saw it, you'd feel you had to explain yourself? I have two plastic flamingoes signed by the members of The Trailer Park Troubadours.
Are you cold or hot natured? Hot.
If your house was burning down and all of the living beings inside were safely out, and you had the opportunity to go back in for one thing, what would it be? My portable hard drive. It has all my music and my unfinished novels on it.
Cotton, Silk, Satin, or Velvet? Cotton.
What is the weirdest dream you have had? I've had a lot. The one recurring dream I had for almost a year was sitting in my kitchen at night and seeing a dancing bear, like one of those in the circus, in my backyard illuminated by an unseen spotlight.
Say you have a smartphone... you are only allowed to have one app. Which one do you keep and why? Urbanspoon
What is your favorite smell? Coffee
You get a night of free rides at the fair. (games included) Where do you spend most of your time? If I'm by myself, the tilt a whirl. If my wife is with me, we'd have to do something lower impact lest I get puked on.
What is one invention we will probably never see that you wish would come about? Self-driving cars.
Who is your biggest role model (outside of family)? Neil Degrasse Tyson. Dude is a genius and can break down complicated science stuff so a dummy like me gets it.
If you had to get a tattoo (or another if you have at least one already) what would it be/say? The Imperial Crest from Star Wars.
Say you could only eat three meals in a cycle for the rest of your life. What would you choose? Full Irish Breakfast, Shrimp scampi, and spicy tuna roll
You're stranded with a bunch of folks on an island. What would your role be? Gardener? Hunter? Carpenter? Leader? Something else? Mediator.
