Some of these shows get booked 6 months in advance. I know for a fact that Kung Fu will be doing a late night show too at some point because I tried to get them booked in Mobile around jazzfest, but it kinda fell through because Mobile is a shitty town that's never heard of them and the show would lose money.

Would rather that be at Howlin' Wolf than Republic, but I'll take it. Definitely doing the fest on that day too, so I might as well grab a ticket for that saturday just in case nothing better gets added.
I'll be at that Metermen show, so I got my first night show picked. I'm surprised the show wasn't at Tips Uptown, but I'm glad its at Republic, if for no other reason than I can walk there from my hotel. I am surprised at the high ticket price: $59. Makes me wonder if the show will sell out.
I hope the Metermen show the next day at the festival doesn't have any conflicts, I really want to see them in that setting as well.
2/2/17 - Louis CK - New Orleans - Mahalia Jackson 4/3/17 - Radiohead - New Orleans - Arena 4/19/17 - Bob Weir - Mobile - Saenger 4/21/17 - Umphreys - New Orleans - Civic 5/6/17 - Sturgill - Orange Beach - The Wharf 5/27-29/17 - Movement - Detroit 7/9/17 - Metallica - Atlanta - SunTrust Park 8/4-6/17 - Phish - NYC - MSG 10/27-29/17 - Voodoo - New Orleans
Shot in the dark, but I'll trade my two Meter Men 5/4 tickets if someone picks up two for the 4/27 show for me. I've already got my tickets in hand. May see about catching that Black Crowes show at Mahalia Jackson.

Hopefully Orgone is opening for both shows. I decided against the fest on sunday because of DMB douchers. I think I'm going to go saturday before Meter Men for Anders, Charles Bradley, and F'N BILLY JOEL though.

Hey jabco, have you heard of a band called Smokers World? They opened for galactic last night and were pretty great. funk & hip hop. They have the same guy playing drums that toubabe krewe had their last round of shows in nola during halloween and new years. Check them out if you haven't yet. I can't find any info on them online, so it must be a new gathering.
