I agree with #1 too but think that Gojira, Meshuggah, and Swans should definitely be higher on the list. I can't judge the whole thing because there's about 15 or so albums I've not listened to yet.
I'd love to see Converge on the lineup but I don't know if we'll get that lucky.

They are festival friendly and have earned a ton of critical praise for this album, so they're not a bad guess for metal this year (assuming metal doesn't get the shaft like it did in 2012).
That decibel ranking is bogus. Koloss and L'enfant Sauvage should be in the top 20, at least, and No Absolutes in Human Suffering should have been in the top 10. Ranking the new converge as best of the year though is pretty accurate. Also, no Fight Amp placing? In any case I'm attending their 100th issue anniversary show.

I'm not super into metal anymore, but that Converge album was one of the best albums of any genre this year. They never tour near me, and I was hoping for a roo appearance, but it doesn't look as though its happening =/.
Whoreshack, you clearly have amazing taste in all things heavy, but Code Orange Kids are weak live. Not sure why they were touring with Gaza. Although the band I was in toured with Gaza as well for a short time and I'm not sure why that happened either. Gaza needs to be at Bonnaroo 2013, the singer is like 8 feet tall, looks like Cain from Robocop 2 and is utterly terrifying.
I don't know anything bout em other than that chick singer can scream her ass off in the video. Oh, and they just got all their shizt stolen in 'Nawlins. Thanx COS!

I would flip if Gojira were on the lineup this year. I've been a fan for a while but L'Enfant Sauvage made me love them and they are easily one of my favorite bands now. I don't think I will ever get tired of listening to that album.
