After a first listen I'm not a huge fan of this one. I was reading up on it and apparently they wrote it in about 20 minutes with the full intent of making it sound like a cliched rock song, because their label thought "Hunger of the Pine" wasn't a strong or poppy enough lead single. It sucks that the band has to fold to pressure from the label and put out stuff like this...because this just isn't alt-J's style at all.

I don't really hold that info against the song but I do agree it sounds different from Alt J. Not a bad song but different. I'm sure I'll dig the album well enough.
