our offense is next to unstoppable. especially now that sammy is coming back. but the defense worries me. i don't see much of a difference with the new coach.
? They were 1-10 on 3rd down conv vs Auburn. Passed for a modest amount and ran for 4.5 ypc which is good, but not spectacular. Their game versus Jackson St isn't even worth dissecting of course.
Fwiw, I just saw their schedule, which is unlike anything I've ever seen before. It is highly stacked in one direction. They will certainly be 5-0 going into the Tennessee game and could even be 7-0 before playing the meat of their schedule. Given their schedule, I think 8-4 is highly likely for them.

he thinks because we only scored 26 against auburn and miss st scored 28, that their offense is better than ours.

no shame in being second to SEC PLAYER OF THE WEEK TYLER RUSSELL

I met Venables at the Ladies Clinic. He is super intense. I know we will see a difference, just not sure if it will be this season or next.
Also, I am laughing at all the people on Tigernet worried about the team chemistry now that Sammy is returning. Really?

i hope we start to see it soon. sammy coming back is going to make us better. he's also going to be returning kicks more than he did last year. big plays will abound.
So what scrub school is your powerhouse team playing this week?
LOL, Furman University, FCS team 30 minutes from Clemson.
Funny story. Supposedly, when it was Furman College, their mascot was the Christian Knight. They figured that wouldn't work if they one day became an university so the Paladin was adopted. Yeah, F U C K would bother some people down here! I see a lot of FU stickers on cars though!

Let's hope we show up or we'll probably never live down all the overconfidence, media attention, and smack talking we are doing 3 weeks into the season
Today I watched the last half of a college game. Voluntarily. (Yes, ME! The person who normally doesn't care about sports.)
It wasn't even an SEC game, either! It was a BIG TEN school! And I actually found myself kinda sorta glued to it. This is just crazy wrong, y'all.
I'd planned to spend the day reading, but noooooo... Instead, I was yelling at the screen, saying things like "Yes! Go for 2!" and marveling at the beauty of a 72-yd TD pass...

Well, my team is now 3-0. The score may have been 41-7, but our defense looked terrible. I'm kind of happy I won't be near a TV next weekend when we play FSU. I'm hoping it was just one of those days. Regardless, I will love my Tigers win or lose.
