Oh yes, I've seen Alien 2... it has been quite a few years, but I definitely have seen it. Don't remember much of it, but it was during a period in my life where I was watching lots of Italian and Turkish knock-offs from the 80s, so they all kind of blend in.
First time seeing this in probably 8 years or so... holy god this is way better than I remembered. One of the most ridiculous horror sequels I've seen while still being good and not completely separating itself from the masterful original. Fucking hilarious... from the opening sequence on the longest bridge in Texas, right down to the climax of Leatherface vs. Dennis Hopper in a chainsaw duel, this movie had me crying with laughter. Favorite scene in the movie: Stretch is sitting on the ice bucket in the locker at the radio station, Leather face is furiously chainsawing (in a suggestive manner, of course) the contents of the ice bucket, spraying soda/beer/whatever all over the place, until he suddenly stops... Stretch says "you aren't mad at me, are you?" I fucking lost it.

It's ridiculous. I remember the bowling alley scene from when I was a little kid. It took me years to figure out what movie it was from. I had no clue it was suppose to be the same creatures from Alien.
Anyway, you reminded me I have a couple 80s Italian horror films sitting around. I think I'll watch The Gates of Hell trilogy. The Beyond is so wonderful
I think my favorite part of TCM 2 is Hopper trying out the chainsaws out back. It's so awesomely over the top.
Ugh... even more dreadful than I remember. Not even fun to watch and make fun of, though it has its moments. This is just so bad it's fucking awful and damn near unwatchable. Maybe the most boring movie I've sat through in the last handful years. Hopefully watching the third one for the first time at least brings more entertainment, in whatever form I can take it.
I don't know if you're looking for her opinion specifically, or just a general opinion, but it was pretty awesome. One of the best and most original horror flicks I've seen in the past few years.

i really liked it. it isn't super fast paced, but it is very dark and the ending is cray.

The TV series started a decade ago this week. Damn, it's doesn't seem like it's been that long. Anyway, I skimmed through Season 1 tonight mostly watching the Baltar and Caprica-six scenes to brush up on the mythology. It's pretty cool to pick up on hints of what's to come. I know some things weren't planned out but it's cool that early red herrings actual tied into the outcome.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Wanting to watch Cinema Paradisio, but don't know which version to watch. Do i watch the International cut on Netflix, the 150 minute cut on Vimeo, or the Director's Cut first?
All I know about this is Zach Braff. So. Let's see what the hell this movie is about. I kinda prefer going into movies not having any idea what I'm about to watch.
