Okay, so how is this? The movie would have to be among my top 50 all time favorites.
If you love the movie you will like the tv show. I think it's really well done so far, obviously not identical to the movie but definitely has that same vibe, and the actors are great. There's a thread here too inforoo.com/thread/33072/fargo-tv-series
Very thorough documentary on the history of synthesizers, particularly the modular variety. Makes me want to drop a couple grand and start pulling wires and twisting knobs...someday.
I used to watch the shit out of that and Salute Your Shorts...and pretty much everything else on Nickelodeon at the time.
Thanks for the nostalgia
Edit: I probably haven't seen that show since I was a kid. When I get home, it's torrent time for some childhood shows.
Double Edit: Just looked it up on Wikipedia to see the years it aired. I had NO FUCKING CLUE Iggy Pop was a guest character on the show! That's awesome.

Yeah he's Nona Mecklenburg's dad. Also look out for Michael Stipe of R.E.M., Kate Pierson of the B-52s, and Mr. Beverly from the "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" episode is Richard Edson from Sonic Youth. I'm sure there's tons more cameos.

That's so cool. I haven't watched them in 15-20 years, so I had no idea who any of those people were at the time. I am most definitely watching the entire Pete & Pete and Salute Your Shorts series when I get home in a few days.

Just watched Gravity, and I really expected more (after watching it, idk why i expected more). After all the reviews and hearing how good the cinematography was I thought it had to be a good movie. Nope, the cinematography was all it really had going for it i thought.
