Deserves its own thread. From what I've read so far, opinion seems to be split. Some think it's stupid, some think it's awesome. I'm in the awesome camp. I just don't see how this can't be incredible. Who's going to try and do this?

Also, according to the FAQ, most of the bands will be performing twice. That nullifies conflicts. Plus, some bands will be playing insanely intimate shows at the pool. It doesn't get more unique than that. I guess it depends on how much you like the ocean, but $500 seems like a great deal to me.
actually you're kind of right....look at the fine print....
The cruise price does not include taxes, gratuity and booking fees ($200 per person added at check out), air/ground transportation, shore excursions, some beverages (such as alcohol, soft drinks and bottled water), photographs, medical services, spa services, specialty dining, etc.
3/17 The Body 3/21 Pusha-T/2 Chainz 3/28-30 Big Ears Festival 4/4 Kraftwerk 3-D 4/11-13 Coachella 5/2 The Men/Nude Beach 5/14 Jenny Hval/Swans 5/20 Ulcerate/Inter Arma 6/12-15 Bonnaroo 7/18-20 Forecastle 9/4-6 Hopscotch Music Festival
I'm seriously considering this. I love the line-up and already have one other person who would do it with me. Plus my parents winter in Florida so it would be a good excuse to go see them for a few days before or after.
Bonnaroo 2008,09,10,11,12,13 soon to be 14

5/14 Fitz and the Tantrums
What the heck? Where have I been? Living under a rock. I knew Weezer did one, but that was it. I thought this was a new, innovative concept. Shows what I know. Guess it's the first one that appealed to me and got my attention.

A question for discussions sake: suppose this cruise is a big success. Do you think this could grow to include bigger name acts in the future? I mean, I'm happy with Pulp as the headliner. But if this really takes off could we see a Radiohead/Daft Punk type name doing this eventually? I'm guessing not every major act would be down with spending 3-4 days on a cruise ship with a bunch of fans, but some might do it if the money is right.
