I think the Coach lineup is solid. Past two years they've just had unreal lineups, and this one isn't quite on that level, but its not bad. Hope I can see Postal Service as some point this year tho.
No major festival except Bonnaroo...... The reasons they do not headline Coachella or Lolla is the same reason the majority of the "headliners" they have would never headline at Bonnaroo. It has nothing to do with being a smaller band.
Did I say they're a "smaller" band? No. I said they're never headlining any of the other major festivals (I said they'd still headline Bonnaroo, so I don't no why you felt the need to harp on that point) and this argument is pointless....still.
Jess, can we not argue about Widespread for the 34897395785th time? They're never headlining any of the other major festivals again. They are a Roo headliner, otherwise they headline small-scale festivals (no shame in that). Let's move on.

With few exceptions, nearly every headliner Coachella has ever booked either would, or could headline Bonnaroo. I'm not nearly as familiar with Lollapalooza, but here is a list of recent Coachella headliners:
Radiohead Dre & Snoop Black Keys Arcade Fire Kanye West Kings of Leon Jay-Z Muse Gorillaz Paul McCartney The Killers The Cure Roger Waters Prince Jack Johnson Bjork RHCP Rage Against the Machine
Pretty much every act on there that has played Bonnaroo has headlined. The one that haven't headlined either a) haven't played, or b) will be headlining the next time they do.

I was just pointing out that the inverse was also true, and for instance The Strokes are never going to headline anything other than small indie festivals, never Bonnaroo. I guess it is silly but occasionally I hear just one to many not a real headliner remarks and feel like pointing it out.

They headlined, how many people do you think were there?
Well, the park they hold it in has a maximum capacity of 15,000 people. So at most it's 15k x (# of days).
Also, citing a festival that was cancelled twice since 2009 to help your cause....good idea?
He's talking about the one year Langerado was held at Big Cypress in the Everglades. It holds WAY more than 15K. I'd estimate there were 45-50 there. Widespread Panic was not in attendance.

Yes the shared headliners are there, but you are leaving out the Strokes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pavement etc..., and a lot of those you listed are questionable as to whether they would be a LN Which instead like Bjork, Gorillaz, or Black Keys. So I still stand by what I said pretty much every year Coachella has one act that would not headline at all at Bonnaroo.

I'll give you the strokes. That's one band over the last 6 years. We'll see on Bjork, but that would make it two. YYY and Pavement haven't ever headlined Coachella.
If Gorillaz ever play another show (which is doubtful), and they were at Bonnaroo, they'd headline. And the Black Keys were almost headlining last time, what makes you think they'll suddenly play a lesser spot, when they've gotten way more popular?
"Pretty much every year Coachella has one act that would not headline at all at Bonnaroo." I assume you mean that every year Coachella has one HEADLINER who wouldn't, because otherwise of course you're right. But even assuming that's what you meant, you're wrong, because going through the last 6 years of lineups we've identified one band who we can say won't/wouldn't headline Bonnaroo.
man... I wish someone could just post a confirmation or rumor so that we can start talking about something worth while again...
Jugs? Please?
McCartney - Bjork - WSP - Mumford & Sons.
I feel this is accurate but bonnaroo always seems to have a "modern rocker". Arcade fire/radiohead/rhcp/kings of leon/NIN something along those lines... Beck? I hope its not Mumford.

I'm pretty sure he was more stating that the "discussions" about WSP and Mumford are relevant to the lineup and that I should stop being a whining b!tch... It happens sometimes

Right, but he also previously said he might have more info this week. I can't tell if he's just trying to re-route the conversation or if this is that info.

Macca and Bjork are 'confirmed' and Mumford and WSP is very highly likely.
I see it more as a "Im sick of talking about WSP, and asking me for more info is annoying. Here you go, nothing new." type thing
People are WAY overestimating Wu-Tang in 2013. They're my all time favorite hip-hop act, and I have a hard time being rational about them, but you're insane if you think they're a top-5 act in this day and age. Top-10 at best.
The only way the jam headliner is #2 is if it's DMB. WSP will be three. Bjork would be the "alternative" headliner, though you could flip-flop her and Mumford & Sons I suppose.
I always thought of Wu-Tang as a LN tent act. And I would very much like to see that.
I would think late-night Which, just because I'd be shocked if the whole Clan got the same slot as GZA solo. Either that or pre-headliner on What, or maybe closing down the Which on either Friday or Saturday.

Public Enemy slot sounds right to me. They're comparable
