GRIEVANCE NO. 234859: - People don't look around and/or read before they post. The amount of posts about bands/groups that cannot possibly be at Bonnaroo and have been discussed to death is blowing my mind.

GRIEVANCE NO. 8769: - Who the hell docked me like 9 points in the last 12 hours? I haven't even posted anything, let alone something even the least bit offensive. I honestly am confused, I feel like I lose massive amounts of points in random overnight binges.

Someone really gets off on that. I lost 50 points in a little over 2 weeks.

Yeah, I mean. I don't really care. I like using these points to see/gauge people's responses, but it's just odd to me that random nights, someone or a few someones are like "I'll show him" and hang out for a couple hours docking my karma. Seriously, if I had a post that had a ton of thumbs down and clearly irritated people I'd get it, but this is just bizarre. I have an IDEA of who at least one of these goons is, but still.
For the record, I don't know that I insulted it. I didn't say it was worthless as a genre, and even went so far as to mention that many of my favorite artists have roots in that category. My only critique was that I feel as though there is a new wave of faux/proto Americana upon which undue praise is heaped, which for the life of me I don't understand.

No one is jumping to defend Avett's, so can we go ahead and mark them down in the "overrated" category and call it a day?
I think they're overrated by most but I also think they're an awesome live band with a collection of some great songs. But when I tell people who don't know anything about them who I'm going to see I say "this band that is pretty good that I like but they're kinda girly and a lot of girls like their love songs. BUT THEY HAVE HIGH ENERGY!".
I think they and Mumford are overrated by a majority but I still think they're great bands. Just not the best things ever like people treat them.
