been checking out the new additions & lovin' em....really looking forward to a world music stage on Saturday....one of my favorite roo memories was walking into the Which, the sun shining down & Antibalas funkin' in out....was that 2003? don't recall exactly but since that set hooked me on the world music groove.....damn will they drop the freakin' schedule already - i'm chompin' at the bit over here!
They sent out an email with the subject "Artist Additions!" or something like that. There was nothing at all about additions in the email.
Thanks, now I remember that. I guess it didn't bother me too much lol.
It pissed me off personally. It just seems someone on the technical end of things needs a boot up their... It really isn't that big of deal. The tech problems seem to keep coming weather small or giant. I didn't mean to start a whole conversation about it. Let's get back to artist additions...which is waiting on cafes at this point.
My hope for cafe acts: The Lumineers (free after Wakarusa) Joe Pug (he's in Atlanta on the 6th, free on the 7th, and in Texas on the 8th). The Belle Brigade

I'm a bit confused, Were the global fest artists new additions? I could have sworn I'd already seen Spectrum Road on the lineup, not sure about the other ones though.

Spectrum Road was announced initially - the others are new additions

i guess we Bonnaroo will announce the DJs soon since it does mention world-class DJs in the announcement. hopefully we get someone like Munchi or Awesome Tapes From Africa or a DJ that spins some Moombahton. at this point any DJs will suffice.

I keep waiting for one last "big" (and when I say big, I don't mean Jack White or anything on that level. Just a nice surprise add or something) announcement and I think, along with the DJ's, that will be it for this year.

Anyone hear anything about Tanlines? Would be a nice cafe act. They're gonna be at Forecastle, so not sure if that makes them less likely to be at Roo.

They're at both Forecastle and Outside Lands. Somehow that makes me think they're a no-go for Roo.
This probably isn't the right thread for this, since there's virtually no possibility they'll be added. But still, damn. The Handsome Family is SO tight!! Bloodshot Records/Chicago.
Since they're not gonna be there, I'd settle for The Lumineers. Not Chicago -- maybe Denver?
I just want to say that with the exception of fun. and the world music (which I haven't investigated) that the additions have been phenomenal this year. Cave Singers, Danzig Legacy, Puscifer, Santigold, Rod Y Gab, Michael Kiwanuka, Black Box Revelation, and Sam Bush are all bands I'd like to see. Temper Trap is the only addition outside of fun. that I don't hope to catch the set of. While everyone hopes to get a few adds they love, the depth this year is just astounding. Thanks AC!
