Indeed. But he says that and then rocks out hard to the Wallflowers and has some chick doing a (horrendous) cover of "Papa Was a Rodeo;" to which I said, "sweet Lord, who is this covering The Magnetic Fields?" He gave me the quizzical dog look because he had never heard the original and when I played it for him, he said it sounded like a funeral.
shrug
If you cling to the past with no appreciation for where music is going, you're going to miss out on a lot of new talent. There was a metric ass-ton of crap on the radio in the past and there always has been, always will be. There is a reason that the Oldies stations play the same 100 or so songs; those were the hits, the classics. There is good new music out there that will one day be classic in its own right and I hate when people look back with rose-colored glasses and complain about today.
If I ever get too old to appreciate new music, take me out behind the woodshed and end my misery.

I hear it's the real thing and Bonnaroo didn't want people to know yet so they are using this board to spread the rumor that it's a fake. Let that blow your mind!

I was out of town for 2 days and read that lineup before I came back and realized it was a fake. It's a damn good lineup, and I was sold on it. If the real lineup doesn't have most of these names I may be very dissapointed
I was sent here by Bonnaroo to distract you from the truth. I can no longer play their game. The truth is, Bonnaroo is cancelled. Sorry to break the news, guys.

Thankfully I have been blessed with two daughters that appreciate good music and introduce me to newer stuff constantly, and I have been further blessed by the Inforoo community who does the same.
Bottom line...I love music! And I pity those who won't open up their horizons. They don't know what they are missing.

I got texts from like three people about the "lineup" and I searched it, and saw it, and thought, "Well, there's our good fake for the year." ...but if the actual lineup is identical I'm going to be very, very sad. The undercard is boring as shit.
Also why would the modifier for Amon Tobin be with a colon and it would spell out that Paul Simon is performing Graceland?
...I know it's fake I'm just freaking out about the fact that it could conceivably somehow be real and then I would be sad.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
