Hey sorry if this was answered earlier but any word on The Shins? I know they're touring to support Port of Morrow but no dates listed after April....
No nothing yet but with their new album alongside the fact that they've never played Bonnaroo and that they played Outside Lands last year (Put on by the same people who do Roo) many are expecting them to be there.

Anybody reached out to AraabMuzik? I would really enjoy seeing him there this year. He played Moog last October and is doing Sasquatch and a couple other fests, so I could see it happening.
It's just a small pet peeve of mine. 90% of the time LOL means "I think this is pretty funny, I mean I didn't literally laugh out loud or anything though"

I got a response a few weeks ago that indicated AC/SF had not contacted him yet. I'd like to see him there as well.
At this point can't you guys just wait a week or two lol?
I'm just curious if anyone has? did you actually laugh out loud?
Nope. I'm at work. But I do find it amusing that you guys are going to such great lengths at this point. I like to know some Christmas presents ahead of time, too but I really like being surprised.

Yeah, sending a few e-mails/tweets on the off minutes of our day isn't really going to much lengths. Plus we're still gonna get some surprises come lineup day no matter what. We know very very little about the top of the lineup aside from the top 3. Most of the bands we know about would be around 10 or below, so regardless of finding artists out here, #4-10 on the lineup are probably going to be pretty surprising.
In related news, that new RHCP album is worse than the Holocaust.
they haven't released an album worth listening to in over a decade. ever since kiedis started trying to look like chris gaines
I respectfully disagree. I think everything they've put out aside from the new album is at the very least listenable. There were a lot of gems on Stadium Arcadium that everyone seems to disregard because of the dog awfullness of "Dani California" why so many bands make their worst song their single is just beyond mem RHCP are especially "good" at this. Honestly RHCP could have the most incredible setlist... but they won't. It'll be typical radio hits and the new album.... which is a real bummer.

Not necessarily...The Beach Boys, Drake, Jack White, Bon Iver, The Avett Brothers, The Shins, The Roots...Surprise!

Please make it die. I hated life the year that song came out.
It doesn't take much time to send off the emails, beyond the one day I spent like eight hours on it haha. I feel content with what we know, but it's fun to learn more and I'll feel okay either way if new names come in or don't. For me personally it helps build excitement for seeing the lineup poster and for making my Roo plans.
For what it's worth, everything I heard back from people about Sasquatch turned out right. The few bands I got confirmed or strongly hinted at turned up on the lineup, and none of the bands I had denied were on there. Of course that doesn't mean much, as there are thousands of bands that won't be there and so the sample isn't a perfect indicator, but it shows that the agents were being honest with me. Hopefully this means there's a good degree of accuracy with what we've found out so far.

Those bands are all touring around Roo, and are available, but it still seems like wishful thinking.
Also Karosko I got a new phone (same number) so I'm sorry I didn't get to that Tycho question in time. Did you go?

Yeah you're probably right. I imagine it won't be quite as good as we're all hoping, I imagine we'll get 3-5 of those seven names and then a few artists we aren't so excited about in the top 10.
No worries dude. Yeah, I went, it was alright. Pretty decent but nothing special really.
