Roger Water's "The Wall" tour is coming back stateside next year with 36 dates announced today. Many venues will be outdoor stadiums this time around and I can't help but notice that Saturday night is left open on Bonnaroo weekend with shows in Chicago & Louisville flanking it. Hmmm....

He's gonna be in Nashville on 6.19 Not sure how that got left off.
Thank God and Sonny Jesus for that, I was seriously about to have a meltdown if the most ideal date (was Louisville) fell on bonnaroo. I am going, I just gotta figure out how much I want to pay for tickets.
While I am not a huge fan of The Wall, I am going. I have listened to too many people talk about the show like it was a religious experience. That, coupled with the fact that I will most likely never have the opportunity to see a Waters + Gilmore concert. So yeah, I will be there, and I will most likely spend an attroucious amount of money to have a floor seat (I think they were $350 in 2010).

Go see this show. I am blessed enough to have a friend who got me floor seats two nights in a row last year when it came through Chicago. It will blow your mind. It's not so much a concert as it is an experience. Well worth the money.
The Wall is like my third or fourth pick for Pink Floyd albums, but I'd still see it if I could get tickets under 100. It's not a high priority, but would be worth checking out if I can.
Boston's date is a Sunday night at Fenway Park. NY's is at Yankee Stadium.
I'll be at at least one show. Nashville fo' sho', maybe Louisville or ATL. Saw this last year with Holls, and it was uhmazing! $201.50/$101.50/$77.50/$57.50 for Nashville 6/19/12. I'd probably do $100, as I get get two tickets for the price of a floor. IDK, we'll see.
I will absolutely be attending the Nashville show. The tickets are crazy expensive, though, and ticketmaster is going to get a big piece on top of that. Does Bridgestone sell tickets to shows at the box office?

Sorry for that odd double-post. My phone is acting very screwy today...I think apple is trying to force me to upgrade to the new iPhone by messing up my old one with the new software.

Hey rainbowbandit where did you get that pricing breakdown for the Nashville show? I can't find the concert listed on Ticketbastard or rogerwaters.com. Thanks.
Last row of the arena is not bad if it's on the side. That's where I was for Sir Paul at $150.
I was in the last row of the Boston Garden for Rush, but at least it was at an angle where I could see the stage easily. I was talking about being at a bad angle, obstructed to much of the stage.
Hmm the Phoenix show seems like the only 2 prices are 200 and 50, which seems to imply there will be some decent seats available at the 50 range. Might have to give it a shot.
Cheap seats aren't bad seats for this one since it is such a massive multimedia experience. To be honest even if you are up close and personal once the wall starts getting built you won't see much of band as they merely take solos standing in the wall's windows but otherwise are mostly obstructed. Roger of course remains out in front for the most part but the experience for this one is as much in the narrative and presentation as it is in the music composition itself. If you can afford to attend at any price then you shouldn't pass up the opportunity.
Despite the fact I despise Wrigley to watch ball games at, I'm gonna check this out because it is supposed to be a good live venue. Saw him do Dark Side a few years back and since I missed the first leg of "The Wall" to go through Chicago, i'm gonna have to see this.
Need I recant the saga of how I got to this show in 2010 in Chicago it all started with a run through Shakedown at Bonnaroo( I had gotten my ticket well in advance and knew for a fact I was going because I had seen Pink Floyd without Roger in the 90's several times in 99 and 2000 and again in 2006. And B it was on my birthday. And C I knew they had sensory deprivation tank rentals in Chicago I had been before. For those of you who can translate "Lononess" I beg a question. What the fuck happens when you throwdown on your birthday going to see "THE WALL" with Shakedown goodies, playing "Altered States" meeets "Fear and Loathing" in a MKULTRA type experiment not to make the worlds greatest assassin but to make the most ultra-religious concert experience ever? Upon walking out of the United Center who's moto was "WELCOME TO THE MADHOUSE" right there in the rafters above "THE WALL" what do I see people like me! I see several Bonnaroo shirts and a strange group of cats who had on corrupted Yield sign T-Shirts that said "FUCK WORK" upon me asking them they said they made them for Burning Man. Perhaps Scrog can shed some light since I know he goes. Might even have some pictures I can send him on Facebook to inquire further. Needless to say after all of this madness my friend Laura asked me "Will you remember any of this?" and I replied "that show is now burned into my brain like a fucking laser". I remember the whole show 100% but the whole point is in this sick twisted experiment is that it now requires positive re-enforcement. And yes I am working on my Masters in Psychology and yes I realize the gravity of what I did the one x-factor was the 3dishness of the show I had not calculated on that. I was fearful of my brain burning out at some points during the show. However with no after effects I can safely say that repeating the experiment will add to the validity of my results. Science must be repeatable by general public I am jus sayin' in the age of hashtaged tweetin'. Unfortunantly no sensory deprivation tank in Nashville (as of yet I do have plans to change this soon God's willing some sort of financial windfall will fall my way though probably not in time for this experiment to be fully realized twice we can summon will but it must move creation in order to be potentiated into existence I hope on that note I am pure of thought) but needless to say two weeks after Bonnaroo a beast of a man will be unleashed upon downtown Nashville with a serious crew in tow! Ask Scrog or Krunchykat or Sugarhighme. My peeps might not get on Inforoo but there will be a salty seasoned crew there in tow. "WHO WILL DRINK OF MY KOOL-AID" p.s. please do not miss "THE WALL" it is awesome and at some points I was moved to tears it was so good Roger uses his money to help out lots of charities and political prisoners and makes us aware of their plight through his work. It will be a rela shame if it is not done at Bonnaroo might be the first "educational" concert a wook will ever see as it is shocking and not what everyone thinks it can be interpreted many ways. But if you do not see it at Bonnaroo go see it somewhere else and take some friends there will be memories made at it that will last a life time. I am now counting down for it like I was counting down for Bonnaroo since they are in the same month = roughly 8 months CHEERS! And yes my year is starting off awesome with Bassnectar now if I can just slide in Radiohead at some point this year will be epic in so many ways! And yes I have considered leaving Bonnaroo on Sunday this year to see "THE WALL" in Louisville KY but I feel something special and epic is brewing for the farm this year my old bones say so and with the plate I am fixing at the buffet of life for 2012 wich some say is the last year why not have a last meal?
