The money-sharing scenario. Artists I've met have complained about the low royalty quality on the service - fantastic for promotional purposes. I guess I am not a fully into the interface either and no extra money for subscription services (I've cancelled my pandora and netflix until I find more use for it). I would rather go crate digging or find new artists but I don't like change
Yeah, don't get me wrong I love those things, too. It's just since I'm constantly running around NYC and rarely have a moment to sit down and try to discover new stuff (except through inforoo, bless your little hearts) so Spotify is great for me.
I've spoken to a few of my friends about the service and they pretty much echoed the things you said (except for the royalties part, that I was unaware of).

ITM enjoy Deer Tick! So jealous I'm not home in time to see them this week and the 12-12-12 concert I'm watching in the library right now. Had Dawes radio on Pandora and it's stacked with Deer Tick.
The Boss is killin' it
Flanz, I have the premium service too and I love it, definitely worth the $10 a month. Dawes also tweeted earlier that they have to get over 1,000 plays for one song to get 69 cents or 1,000 album hits for a couple of dollars. They do seem to get screwed.
