Yeah I thought I would do that for stuff not everyone might know. This Panabrite is really cool; it's very patient and ambient. It reminds me a lot of Emeralds' newest works--sort of those synth arpeggios dancing around one another.
It doesn't get much better than this these days. I've been listening to this one over and over, and it's up there with my favorite releases of the year so far. There's even a few killer interpretations thrown in, of Michael Jackson's "Human Nature" and Flying Lotus's "Mmmhmm". The album is worth your attention if only for those two tracks, but the entire thing is stellar.
I'm going on a pilgrimage through the innernetz to find new music (as opposed to music from 30 years ago that is new to me, as I usually do), partially using this thread a a reference point. 187 pages is a bit much to go through and collect stuff that looks interesting to me, so I'll just be using the last 50 pages... if I find the desire to return, I'll then use the prior 50, etc.
I probably like this even more than the Lee Fields record. It's a more modern take, I suppose, but it still sounds completely timeless and immediately familiar. Both of the past two records I posted, I think would go over very well with the crowd in here.

Gonna look into this next. I like Lee Fields immensely, so this maybe up my alley.

It's really great. Where it lacks the funk that Lee Fields brings, it adds folk sensibilities. I think you'll love it.
