It's well done, but it didn't really change how I feel about pop-punk of this sort. I had an idea of what I was getting into, and that's exactly what it was.

That's pretty much what I was expecting. They were a huge band for me ~10 years ago, though, so I feel obligated to check out the new one eventually.
One day I will go on a proper The Ex binge. I only know Aural Guerilla and the In the Fishtank they did with Sonic Youth.

I think this is their best record. It's proof guitar rock still has a purpose.
I just saw them last Thursday live, and they are throwing every bit of their heart and soul into these songs live and it's truly an amazing thing to see. I came away impressed, by far the best show I have seen in a LONG time.
i need to stop being so lazy. 1 post a day in this thread minimum for me from here on out. as my go to source when i need something new and different to listen to, or just remind me of something great, its time i gave back a little more.
