What's the purpose? Specialized is the best big box company imo, they have the biggest budget by far and a lot of their high end tech trickles down. I am a pretty big mountain bike fanatic, and a capable wrench having built up two bikes from parts. If you have any questions let me know.
Just something to ride to school/out on errands. Not going to be doing anything major on it. Plus I have a really tight budget. Like less than $100. The 2 I'm looking at are both older models from the 70's and 80's.
Gotcha, only thing to worry about is fit, then. I'd also keep an eye out for a bike that already has racks on it to save you some money and hassle.

What do you mean racks? I have a friend that works at a bike shop so I know my fit.

I am wearing a brand new skirt today (technically I bought it months ago, but I only ripped the tags off today... but I digress). It is not too small (in fact it's perfect and/or a tad big), but the back slit keeps ripping and ripping... I am really glad that I wore thick tights today otherwise there would be quite a show going on. The slit is now solidly at the above the bottom of the butt. If I was walking in front of a butt man like flanzo, I would saunter and show off said bottom but line. But I am not. I am at work. And I am skerred to stand up. It's only 10:15.

This should be a day of celebration. But something about this day turns almost every thread into "Your Taste in Music Differs From Mine and, Therefore, Sucks." The pros/cons of jambands, the Kanye Sucks/Rules, whether EDM is the best music or not music at all, all these tired arguments suddenly reappear with a vengeance. I'm going to spend the next few days honing my WWF and Scramble skills. I may even do some work.
