whatever that's a good thing dave. there are some people around here that are out of control with their thread making and it makes me wish there was a limit.
Some of us are just born to be quality contributors, Dave, not initiators. I've started nine threads - and to the best of my recollection, not one of them made it to page 2.
Edit - I just realized we can see our own threads. So I've only started 6 and one actually made it to a third page.
I've actually got a pretty good idea (at least in my own mind) for a thread stewing around, but am going to wait to start it up after the line up drops, the shout-box gets quarantined, etc.

Wait... where you can you see your threads? I can only remember two that I've made- this year's countdown thread and <3 for Inforoo. The Countdown I cannot take any credit for and the <3 thread was a a drunken mistake gone right, I think.

Ahh 3 festival threads which are good enough despite response and one more sucky thread definitely started when drunk... 6 in almost 3 years isn't bad.

God I was a really shizzy poster when I started here. My first two threads were locked and it took quiet a few more than that to make a read worthy thread.

haha it's interesting seeing how we all started out. For instance, my first crappy thread was me asking about bands from the lineup. I got no response in two hours and then gave an assh*le response cuz I thought people were ignoring me.
Also....I want to point out that when I was a noob I was told the following:
get a friend of yours to pee in your ears for 3 hours
edit: you might need more than one friend actually.
Then my whole thread turned into talk of people peeing. So great.

Anyway, I don't know how all that stuff works. I don't expect all or really even any of these to actually be added, but I'm just saying the board would get good use out of a few of these. Hope you enjoyed!

Well, I've done my good deed for the day. Some rednecks in a junker just blew a tire and ended up at my door. They didn't have a jack or anything. Got them on their marry way. Now I feel like having a beer. I'm pretty sure they would have gave me one if I asked.

This has nothing to do with anything but I was just thinking about waking up tomorrow and how each morning it is such a completely disorienting experience. I use my phone as an alarm and I swear the word "snooze" looks like the most foreign, bizarre word to me every morning. I would bet thousands of dollars in my sleepy stupor that it's not even a real word.
Also, at 5:30 I have the first alarm go off with a message that says, "Work out, you bum!" and at 6:30 it says, "Wake up, you bum! You should have worked out. You're getting soft and doughy. You failed," and whichever message displays is supposed to tell me what time it is (because clearly I can't read numbers in my haze), but I can't make out what those words are or what the hell they might mean.
I guess long story short, I can't read in the morning.
