Another message on facebook that I missed due to that damn "other" inbox. Good thing I have trained myself to check it once a day.
Whoooooaaaaa. What the hell is this "other" box? I just checked it. I have various messages. One from a guy who has mistaken me for someone else I think, but has some kind of mega crush on the girl that he thinks I am. And this
"i saw your post on the suicide page, i have been thinking about it for awhile, and im afraid that i may go do it, i dont want too,"
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

They are messages from people that you are not friends with and pages you like. All the messages are real. It's amazing that, every time I bring it up, someone discovers it for the first time.

Are these real messages? or spam?
They're messages from people who aren't your FB friends. So they can be both.

Cause that message about suicide was from July 1st. I hope the guy is still alive. Since I work in mental health and worked the suicide hotline for years, I frequently post words of encouragement/love on the Suicide Hotline page.
Damn, now I'm super distressed over having possibly made this guy feel unimportant. Fuk.

I've received some spam too, from "Dr. Patel" no less! I thought it was someone being silly so I messaged them back and got some bizarre reply.

Yeah, I have got a little spam too, but it was mostly from bands who wanted me to check out their page.

Here is the other message, from August. This sounds like some shiz I may have been involved in, but if I was, I was drunk and don't remember this guy.
"I believe we met last night. I was, amongst many things, passing out cupcakes, sparklers, and Jagermeister...playing hip hop drum beats and then the piano for quite some time...Are you that girl?" Mike
Edit: here is the pic he put with the message. This is the Ledges. Maybe I was that girl. Ahahaha

It feels like I need to get Heather some more stuff for Christmas, but I don't have much good ideas. I really really suck at this whole Christmas thing. Rosko for Secret Santa ended up being easy, everybody else is a bitch.

What did you get her? Tell us TELL US!
Assortment of jewelry. I needed stuff that wasn't all shiny and bling.

Like cozy socks, pjs, candles, lotion (and a foot rub), perfume, manicures, pedicures, her favorite candy, a christmas ornament to signify your year together, a fuzzy blanket?
This other inbox is blowing my mind. I had a couple semi-important ones that I missed. Whoa.
I almost missed Bonnaroo tickets last year that I had won but I luckily had left my cell number on my info page on facebook and the guy called me. I also missed a message from my aunt asking for a piece of jewelry for her wedding

Short of antibiotics, I'm wondering what are some good remedies to knock out a cold/sinus infection that wont stop lingering.
Have you tried Mucinex D? You have to get ask for it at your pharmacy because they keep it behind the counter. If it's been going on for a while you might be stuck having to buy antibiotics though cause it could quickly turn into bronchitis, then possibly pneumonia.
Try the Mucinex though. Hope it works for ya.
If your looking for a natural fix I found this on the web. You would need Apple Cider Vinegar and honey.
"One of the most powerful ways to use ACV is to mix 8oz of warm water with 2 tbsp of ACV and 1 tbsp of honey."
Seems brilliant at first, but aren't you left with one side of your toast having been toasted the day before (unless of course you toast and eat the entire loaf in one sitting)?

Thanks! Ill try the Mucinex thing! And maybe the ACV and honey thing too! I'm just hesitant to get antibiotics if I can avoid it/

Plus, anyone who eats just toast for breakfast (AKA "the lazy man's breakfast") definitely buys their bread pre-sliced.

totally not true, if "we" can have toast in a few seconds, like slicing off a tab of butter, than we are buying a loaf and slicing off toast, instead of waiting 3-5 minutes for only 2 slices to toast in a toaster. If it is a new slice, just run the Jedi Knife-saber across the front and it will heat that open side in a second.
