I was warned by 5 urban patients this week that I needed to get a ticket, and I needed to get it before today because today there would be people lined up outside the corner stores buying tickets. There were.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
It's been a day and nobody has explained why anyone would want a pig as a pet. I just don't get it?
Edit: Sorry, Juggs gave the best and only response. Put it's a pet, so you really can't. You just have to pet it and make it belive that you care for it? Sorry, nobody can ever truly love a pig. Outside of Babe and Zuckerman's famous one.

They're loyal and extremely intelligent. Pot-bellied pigs have been known to alert their owners to fires when fire alarms fail and lead children out of burning buildings. Unless you're talking about a teacup pig, in which case it's just a useless creature made so rich women can have something to walk on a leash that won't take human-sized sh*ts like a dog would.
My parents had a pig (I think pot belly) for awhile back when I was in college. My dad's a state meat inspector & someone brought it in to be slaughtered so my dad saved it. After a year or so Gordy got WAY too big & they had to get rid of it. It was eating & destroying everything. We had many sessions of "catch the pig" with no success. Imagine 2 college kids, 4-8 elem/middle/high school kids, & my parents chasing a 200+lb pig around the yard. We tried using soccer nets & everything. The way my dad finally got it in the back of his truck was by leaving a trail of cookies up to the flatbed. Seriously. It was cute & adorable when it was little but a huge pain in the ass as it got older (& bigger). Totally my dad's fault for feeding it anything & everything.
My dad killed a wild pig and sadly figured out later it was a mother. Him and his hunting buddies chased down the babies and we raised them for food. I've got pics of me holding them as a kid and being so loving. I ate them later in life. Which is kinda weird I guess.

This is what passes for Friday night fun around my neck of the woods...well, that and sitting up on the ridge watching across the valley as the meth labs explode.
I can love anything that is happy just to see me when I get home from work. Dog, pig, infant, whatever. And this is why I could never love a cat.
Yeah, you're god damn right I just said that.
You've never had a cat right? Yes there are cats who are aloof and distant, but my cats are certainly excited to see me when I get home each day. After I pull my car in the garage I can hear them meowing at the door waiting for me to come inside the house. One of my cats plays fetch and also when she is outside in the backyard comes in when her name is called. It's all about how you raise cats IMO.

My little man would sit at the top of the stairs and wait for me when I got off work. He loved to sit on my lap and roll up like a little baby. He would follow me all over the house.
He's been gone three weeks now and I still weep when I think of him. Don't discount the love of a cat.

I was never a cat person, until one adopted me. Now I have 4. All rescues.
They are all waaay too bonded me. LOL. Worse than dogs. I'm always tripping over cats in my house, sleeping with one on my face, one on my feet, and when I'm away, one mopes around the house until I return. It's horrible. Cats definitely love their people. More so than I like!

Dropped my phone in a glass of water last night. this ranks third in phone related calamities for me, behind the time i dropped my phone in a pitcher of beer (1), and the time I dropped my phone in a boiling pot of mac and cheese (2) but ahead of the time I had it in my pocket when I jumped into a pool to save a kid while lifeguarding (4).
In GRR related news, I'm currently on ATT and really wanted to switch to Verizon when my contract ended in April. Might have to get an unlocked burner until then. Fortunately, I'm not too obsessive about phones.

Druid, I love you and I honestly wished I could have met him. He was so cute.
Doctor said I needed to start taking vitamins. Went to the store and found 3 out of the 4 he recommended in sour gummy form. Being an adult is awesome.

Take that HATER
I had a cat for 2 years, it attacked me 3 times before I could walk and would routinely steal sh*t from my crib and destroy it.
I obviously said that comment to piss people off, because I'm an a-hole, but don't take it personally. My ex g/f had a great cat who behaved like a dog, I realize it is possible.
Unbunch the panties, cats can still be loved by everyone except me

I'm really sorry to hear about your loss (I guess I missed it if you posted on here) and if I had known I wouldn't have posted my smart ass comment. I lost the dog I grew up with and loved a couple months ago, so I know how difficult that is. Feel free to hit me with an inanimate object at the brunch, I deserve it.
