Chico I don't think this was addressed a few pages ago: Do you use a third knife to cut your PB&J?
I must have missed what this is referring to... but...
I don't think I have made a PB&J in years, in fact, I doubt that I even own jelly, but if I wear to make one, I'd have to wipe off the knife in order to make a clean cut. I can't have remnants of the innards on top of the bread. That would be horrendous. Also please note that said sandwich would have its ingredients perfectly spread to all edges in uniform thickness.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Peanut butter spread first, knife gets cleaned on the other slice of bread. Then the jelly is applied, slices combined, cut on the diagonal and served. That my children is how it is done.
a diagonally cut sandwich from a square loaf is a beautiful thing. It's how all of my grilled cheeses are cut.
Now, other breads such as hoagie rolls, focaccia and wide loaves don't lend themselves to being cut diagonally.
Lastly, I am developing an aversion to peanut butter. about 75% of the time if I eat it I get chest tightness. No breathing trouble, just an uncomfortable sensation. Every so often if I eat a small spoonful, or a Reeses cup, I'm OK. just no peanut butter sammies for me.

know what makes cleaning the knife on the other side of the bread easier? jelly first. you're all doing it wrong.
Oh, so you like a jelly and peanut butter sandwich? The term "PB&J" isn't a cutesy nickname, it's the directions for making the sandwich.
For the record, I don't clean my knife at all, Once I get to the bottom 1/3 I dont' even need to get the jar of jelly out of the fridge to make a PB&J.

I don't know how stuff like this became popular, but god is it worthless. It's like the modern tumblr version of those Motivational posters they hang in offices.

Please see below from a post on the last page:
I never cut my damn sandwiches, even when I was little. Give me the full one!
However, if a sandwich were to be cut I would use one of those pizza rollers. So to make a proper pb&j you need two knives, two plates and three napkins.

And a glass of water to help swallow your OCD meds.
If I ever have kids as picky as some of you I'm going to sell them.
I'm not picky. I'm precise.
And I dont have kids for a multitude of reasons. The second being if they werent like me I'd spend way too much time being disgusted to get anything done.
Can someone please tell me how a picture of a chimpanzee relates to the band Justice?
quack this wed grab bag!
I got your back, sweetness.
"Justice first came to prominence through their 2003 remix of Simian's track "Never Be Alone", created for a Paris college radio station's remix contest"
