Our campus had an albino squirrel on it for years. The library had a coffee drink named after it. Not long after people were really getting on board with things, a hawk got it. The squirrel, I mean, not the coffee drink. Wouldn't that be great though? caffeinated hawks...
A few years ago I found a dead hawk on a sidewalk on campus. THAT'S FOR THE SQUIRRELS YOU BIG MEANIE.
Hawks/eagles/any bird of prey >>>>>>>>>> squirrels
Let them feast on those annoying rodents with fuzzy tails.
We have a huge hawk & eagle migration every fall. There's a state park (Thatcher Park) with an absolutely awesome overlook that we go to and just watch them hunt and fly south.

Birds of prey are the best.
When Maya, my first puppy, was a baby she was only 3 lbs. We have hawks all over the place here in NOLA (believe it or not). We had one hawk that was standing watch, it eventually turned into four different hawks, perched in trees around our backyard, waiting for us to leave her alone long enough for them to swoop in and grab her. It was terrifying, they would try to swoop down even if you were there sometimes next to her. So glad she is a whole 13lbs now. Tyger was 7lbs when we got him and never seemed to have the same issue.

I primarily have SiriusXM for Stern, but as I listen to more and more podcasts I find myself listening to less and less Stern. But I still love SiriusXM for the car. I have a receiver with the "xtra channels" or whatever, and one of them is Tom Petty's Buried Treasure shows 24/7, which is the greatest channel of music ever. First he is a fantastic DJ, so weird and funny, and he is always playing the weirdest oldest shit, I love it. I also love Jam On (of course) and 1st Wave. Liquid Metal is good as is Electric Area. Lithium I listen to a lot cause I'm a 90s kid. XMU is surprisingly bad for me most of the time, it seems they choose to play the worst of new "indie" music. Seems like everytime I switch to its just some quiet minimalist synth with a breathy female or doughy male vocal floating over it.
Anyway I love Sirius and will probably stick with it for a while.
I did adore First Wave. The only other channel that I loved was Faction, but the problem was that it seemed like every time I turned it on there was a talk show and no music. I couldn't really justify paying the money for one channel I really liked, and another that I half liked. I guess I just never really got into listening to radio shows with hosts and all that - I just want to listen to the music.
Yeah on Faction you have the Jason Ellis show. I never got super into him but have listened to some of his shows.
So you aren't into talk radio at all? You ever listen to podcasts? Maron or anything? I'm totally obsessed with talk.

I never understood how Jason Ellis became a radio host. He's just an averagely talented pro skateboarder that I used to skate with all the time. He never won contests and his parts were so-so and then one day, I found out he's some big radio guy, wtf?!

Ha that's funny you know him. Well he's got a loud and boisterous on air personality that fits the radio well. Like I said I'm not a huge fan but that episode of stern a few years back when he showed his pierced cock to George Takei is one of the greatest moments in the history of entertainment, at least in my mind.

I'm really looking forward to the new Daredevil show on Netflix that debuts at midnight. Might watch the first one when they go up. I'm a big fan of the Marvel movies and TV shows so this is right up my alley. Also, great casting choices and I've read a ton of good reviews so far.

There's some chick taking incessant selfies behind me on the train right now. Worst part? She won't turn off the camera sound, so it is just "click click CLICK" permeating the air around me
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Offer to take a photo of her
Well if the saying is true and practice makes perfect, I can't imagine her photos aren't perfect by now since it's been going on for a solid fifteen minutes.

Take a selfie while she's in the background taking her own selfie. Just make sure you're also in her pic then explain to her two selfie doesn't equal a true selfie and offer not to take selfies for double what she's charging people
Last Edit: Apr 9, 2015 17:20:13 GMT -5 by noodle!: sorry, I was taking a selfie - Back to Top
I love the beat in this commercial. I wish I knew what song it was. The one people are listing in the comments is terrible and has the same beat but I can't believe it's the same song....

This just reminded me that my contract is up at the end of the month. I've been debating a while now on whether or not I want to switch companies to something like Cricket or even downgrade to a dumbphone (though I'd really miss Snapchat and Google Maps so I don't think I'll do that). I'm grandfathered into Sprint's truly unlimited plan (signed up in 2007 before data caps were a thing), so I'm hesitant to switch. I've had absolutely no complaints about their coverage area or customer service. But it'd rather not pay $85/month if I can help it. Hmm..

I tried to Soundhound it and nothing came up, and like I said, the song people were saying it was on YouTube was definitely not right. This is it and it's fantastic. Thank you!
and of course the song name is "The Next Big Thing".... Because it would be that simple.

I'm at a war on drugs show, and after their opener ended I went to get water. Turns out they don't have a big self serve cooler by the bathroom like the outside bartender said. So the people in the giant lines at the main bar let me up front BC I just wanted some high quality h2o. They only had bottles, for $4, so I said as long as you're running my card, I'll take a pbr too(for$3, for real?). I feel like a shark.
