I'm currently in pinterest hell planning two birthday parties and a baby shower. Reeeally wish I could daydrink through this but I think that would result in one of my kids having a baby crowning through a vag cake and a minecraft themed baby shower.
I pinterest professionally and I'm at your service!
HALP.
My soon to be 8 year old wants needs a Minecraft party, but I need to be able to feed and entertain about a million kids without spending a ton. I think about 15 kids will be there. Deep breath, Maddie. This will be the end of October.
Then the nursery theme is baby farm animals (not sure if I want the shower to match that theme) and she does not know the gender. It's just for a small group of friends. Maybe 10. Probably a brunch. This will be early-mid November.
I haven't even started my daughter's party yet. She's asking for chuck e cheese (eww), and I might just cave and do it. I'll probably be partied out by her birthday.

My nephew is a Minecraft fanatic. My sister spent 4 days cutting the fondant squares, then assembling his Minecraft cake I like making specialty cakes, but that one is just too labor intensive for me. The things we do for our kids........

I didn't note the prices but Hot Topic had a bunch of minecraft stuff in the window. And yes, Chuch e cheese is kinda soul sucking but they do freaking everything. You just show up and write them a check. Let yourself do it

Don't ever post something like that without a "do not view photo near your children or they will forever be disappointed in you" warning.
I actually love Chuck E. Cheese. My friend, Chris, and I (before he left me for the left coast) used to go a few times a year. Print off a coupon- spend a few hours playing Skee Ball, get a few "sketches" done of you, drink two flat bud lights, then turn in your tickets for Miley Cyrus note pads and jumping frogs... Winning evening. Night should usually culminate at a bar where you can pull out all your new toys and show them off.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I went to Chuck E Cheese before my prom! I had a coupon so we had pizza and played games

I know little or nothing about Minecraft. I just wanted to share that the South Park episode tonight will be about the game.

Both of ours boys are all about Minecraft too. I gave it a whirl when they were with their grandparents this past week. When I told them about it, my 5 year old thought it was the greatest thing ever that I had played it.

Haim is all over the place, huh? I'm not complaining....I've just seen them popping up on so many different sites and things. I got an e-mail from SPotify with the subject line of : One of the most talked about bands out right now and my first thought was "Is it gonna be Haim?". I open it up and there they are.
I liked the EP and thought they were great at Roo. Haven't heard the full album yet.

I was thinking this today, exactly. In just the past 3 days or so, I've seen stories on FB from NPR, Huffington Post, PBS, and Pitchfork all about HAIM.
I mean I like them too, but jesus, this media push is ridiculous.
This is crazy; I can't believe they finally took it down. Another "win" for the war on dr*gs
To be fair, wasn't the guy they arrested also allegedly trying to put a hit out on someone and talked about having someone assassinated in the past? I read that in a few of the stories I read. Never used silk road. I always felt like I'd get caught somehow even though so many had apparently been using it successfully.

Way to sketchy for me. Never even tried to get anything off of that site. I cant really take a drug dealing websites disclaimer for a legal document. Of course, if I got A kernel of corn off the site id probably have the feds raiding my house 2 minutes later. Not worth the risk where a few phone calls can produce the same results IMO.

Yep, apparently tried to put a hit on someone, which I am certainly not condoning. The whole thing is a bit fishy. They just randomly happened to search a package of his containing fake IDs?? Weird. I'm sure some shady stuff went on in catching him.
Either way my comment is more in the sense that taking down Napster did nothing in helping stop piracy just like this will do nothing to the online druq trade. Not too mention it's a shame that it was such a high priority. No associated violence and quality druqs, sounds like a good system to me. Much better than buying who knows what off some wannabe (or actual) thug.

If you followed the site closely it's been said that the person holding the title DPR has changed numerous times. So this guy isn't necessarily the same one who started the site.
so we recently hired a new pediatrician, and I worked with him for the first time today. he showed me a picture on his mobile of a random pack of elephants from his FB feed, I mentioned that my FB feed has been more panda-oriented, it turned into a discussion of MOEMS, and now he thinks I do dr*gs. in fact, he may have actually thought I was high this morning, since I sort of stumbled and fell against the cabinet a little bit in the lab (not high, just uncoordinated) and he asked me if I was okay in a slightly suspicious tone. sweeeeet.
I don't really adding people from work to fb. I got a request from someone at work. I don't like this person, but I feel like I have to add them or run the risk of the awkward conversation at work. I am really bad at fb, but it still feels weird.
Just tell them "sorry I dont add people from work on FB". NO ONE adds each other at my office. but again we all work in computer forensics and realize how damaging it can be.

I just say "Oh? I don't check that very often" if someone brings up an ignored friend request. People generally do not bring it up twice, which is good.
I never added anyone from my work. There might be a couple exceptions to that rule, but probably wouldn't happen until after I left the company. The whole radical socialist and union sympathizer thing would probably not fly too well among the powers that be if it became common knowledge.

Word. A coworker and I actually had a discussion about it one day. She said she would add someone if they did things outside of work, i.e. the woman she sometimes went kayaking with, but would never add someone who is just a coworker. For me, this issue has never really came up because most of the people I work with are older and don't use social media at all.
