It's very strange, therefore I love it. Finished Season 1 last weekend, but haven't been staying awake long enough to successfully get going on Season 2.
I saw something on Facebook, since I have the local NBC station liked - a guy who had hid six kids from the school in his house while the shootings were going down, he's being called frequently by conspiracy loons to "tell the truth" about "what really happened".
Sandy Hook happened on a Friday, one of my cousins bought an AR-15 on the following Monday. And there's a few more guns lying around at his house. For you know, when the blacks and Puerto Ricans stop getting welfare and take it out on whiteys like him. (I wish I wasn't serious about that last part.)
If you really start to lose it go buy a fake ecig at the gas station. I haven't had a real one in 8 days!

This is a great post. Anyone dealing with any addiction who is brave enough to share their attempt to break the addiction should be encouraged, lauded and celebrated. And should they fail, we will still be there to encourage and celebrate when they try again. But I have a good feeling about these two. God bless and good luck to everyone here trying to break a habit.

You go girl!
I was tempted to smoke, so I ran to the store and bought an e-cig. It definitely curbed my appetite for nicotine, but I can't see using this thing on the regular. Hoping it helps me get through cravings, which for some reason this time trying to quit haven't been as bad.
I know one thing for sure, I am DONE with cigarettes. I got in my car and was shocked at how sensitive I am to the smell after just over two days without smelling them.

Im at 133 hours without a cig. I tried a couple months ago with an e-cig but it didnt work plus it never rally got me over the nicotine addiction. Im using Nicorette now and it seems to help with the cravings immensly but its still unbelievable how much of my life was consumed with cigarettes just trying to break the habit part is hard as hell. Im this far in so I cant go back and go through this all over again. Just conquering one hour at a time.
Good luck ladies. I keep telling myself it has to get easier at some point.
Also, Im still wearing my santa hat in my pic and Im not sure Im ready to change it yet.

I always reach for my phone right when I wake up, not because I have a pressing need but the act or reading something keeps me from going back to sleep.
My alarm clock is about 5 feet from my bed so I'm forced to get up to turn it off, like Dave said.
Downside: when I'm hung over and start flinging shoes, wallet, watches, bedside tables, basically anything I can get my hands on at the alarm clock because I forgot to turn the alarm off Friday night.

You need a smarter alarm clock. Mine allows me to set when it goes off. I have a Mon-Fri and a Sat- Sun alarm. I love it less because of the Saturday morning thing and more because I don't have to worry about turning it on again Sunday night.
In other news, Trinity had a two hour delay today. When we have delays, someone usually sends out a campus wide email. Someone dropped the ball and didn't send the email. Here I was all proud because despite the snow, I was at work early (8:15 instead of 8:30).. but little did I know that I was REALLY early.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I've had the same alarm clock since 2000, the buttons are permanently bashed in so I have to use a pencil to set the time or change the time of my alarm. And I will continue using that alarm clock until it breaks, which shouldn't be too much longer since the digital display flickers with vibrations from people's footsteps in the hallway outside my room.
Ned- Unfortunately, so am I... I never used to be and then over the years it has snuck up on me. I'm considering the across the room trick to get myself out of the habit. When you set your alarm half an hour early just so you can snooze... you have a problem.

Okay, explain why that makes me cheap. It's not like I don't have an alarm clock because I positioned my bed in such a way that the sun hits my face at 6am every day or something. Until something stops doing it's primary function, I'm going to use it.
