There was a place on the Knoxville strip called Suds and Buds I believe. It was a combination laundry and bar. Right in the heart of the University of Tennessee campus. It did not stay open long. I could never figure that out. maybe mismanagement? It always seemed like a brilliant idea.

I just saw about 10 minutes of an episode of How I Met Your Mother for the first time ever. I retroactively want to slap everyone who has ever told me that's a good show.

We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

I'm gonna slap bet you at brunch for saying that.
I had to turn it off before it ruined Jason Segel for me.

Ahahha! Otay otay. I don't watch much TV and I don't find most comedies very funny. For what ever reason that show gives many lulz. I have a tiny funny bone that has a weird tickle I guess.

I've seen about a dozen episodes... it's extremely hit or miss, mostly miss. It can either cause me to chuckle a handful of times per 22 minute episode, or make me hate my very existence.
For instance, the pilot is one of the most excruciating things I've ever seen. But I've seen other, later episodes that were just fine... not bad, not exceptional, but enjoyable enough for what it is.
But again, I find most sitcoms of today damn near unbearable. So many shows doing the same type of comedy and using similar themes. Just a serious lack of originality on tv in the comedy department, nowadays.
I think that I have seen every episode up until a couple of weeks ago. (I'm behind in my DVR.)
My favorite episode is The Pineapple Incident. (Season One, Episode Ten.) If you are not entertained as Drunk Ted ("Vomit-free since '93) attempts to recreate the previous night, you clearly have lost the ability to feel joy.

Any show created after the 90's that uses a laugh track already has one big strike against it. Are humans not past the point where they need to be told when to laugh?
Hugh Jackman needs to play a jelly fish in a movie. I have heard from a reliable source(an 8 year old) that their skin is virtually impenetrable by any science or magic know to man.
