Is it a different substance than the regular jelly? I always assumed it's the same stuff but in a different container. What am I missing?

I believe it's time I start dating but even thinking about it scares me. I have no idea of what I should do or where I should start. I'm not looking forward to wading through the sea of rednecks, jerkstores, and psychos.

If anything it will at least make you appreciate all the "normal" guys out there.

I know it's cliche, but getting out and doing things that truly interest you is the best way to meet people. Plus in the meantime you'll be doing fun stuff and not focusing so much on meeting dudes.

My friend uses POF and she's met nothing but trash or dudes just wanting 1 night stands but saying they are looking for LTR. So if you are looking for 1 night stands, go for it. Otherwise take CKS' advice.

All of these are easier to do when you don't live in BFE. I've started paying attention to anything that may be going on that I could get involved in, but there isn't much that won't require me driving an hour away from home just to do it. I can always go to a local bar, but I already know how that will end.

i saw some awesome music with great people.

i met zola jesus, she signed my cd (and gave me a hug!).

i hung out with some inforooers.

then afterwards i ate some pizza with some friends i've had for 10 years.

my feet got wet b/c it was raining but that is ok.

I prefer preserves to jam or jelly.

Also, homemade is way better. At Gentleman of The Road in Dixon there was a Farmer's Market. I bought some Black Cherry jelly, Strawberry Rhubarb and Blueberry jam, and Apple Butter. Nothing in the stores comes close to these.
