It isn't great but it is cheap. I have already figured out the key to pepperoni pizza there is to put a couple napkins on top while you're getting your drink. Otherwise, the grease situation is out of hand.
The real pro-tip is to get the cheese pizza because it basically has an inch of cheese on top.
I have actually made the switch to cheese since that post. It's surprisingly the better option for sure.
10goldbees I whole heatedly laughed. Just created the 5th list in a 48th period on spotify. Got most of what I needed to done, and didn't drink until 6pm. I did pretty well.

I love this already because I get to watch as a freelancer, this happen in real time... Like an email done by facial corresponding, where the person is like...excuse me you clearly said this, and now you want ALL OF FUCKING THIS... but in the "kindest" way possible. It's my favorite thing that I never want to end up doing... :: haha laughs in pain at his life trajectory ::
There is a lot of back and forth to HO vs Renting. I'm lucky to have snagged a cheap home in Austin before prices soared but that is not always the case.
I'm currently looking to move out back to an apartment and have bee donating, selling, tossing countless junk. In the past 1 year I've made at least 20 trips to Salvation Army w items.
Lately, I have been obsessed with the Buy Nothing Project which are local Facebook groups where people offer things for free. The idea is to connect to your local community and to avoid spending/throwing things into landfills. I've gifted everything from open coffee and expired (but unopened) rye bread to my collection of kandi beads, artwork, and blank CDs and their accessories. I've seen other things gifted from opened cookies to a basketball hoop to Christmas decorations. Lately, offering services have picked up and yesterday someone did a sauerkraut making class.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Have you looked at San Diego? It's pretty cool. Expensive, but so are the places on your list.
Yep SD is a solid contender! Might have to re-evaluate it again haha
As someone who's lived here my whole life, I can safely vouch for it being a great place to call home. I hope I can continue to afford to live here for the rest of my life too lol.

Thank you for this!!! I have so much to give, including perishable foods, a million lemons, and freaking furniture, and this is PERFECT.

Yes, it is! I've seen people give excess garden goods or produce from CSAs and misfit boxes that they wouldn't be able to eat. Plenty of furniture has been gifted, of course. I've gifted a lot that I probably could have sold, but it's a lot easier to put it on my porch for pickup than sit around and wait to exchange payment.

just to riff off my Sun pun and Dan's embarrasing class story.
the other day, in my 2nd grad student/prof's meeting, I was called on to discuss a paper for the first time. I said fun-gee instead of fun-guy, which I wouldn't normally do (because I love puns), and in my head instantly knew I was saying it wrong. then i felt like i had to commit because i wasn't sure what was more embarrasing, saying fungi wrong in front of a room of biologists, or saying it two different ways like i had no clue what i was doing. so i said fun-gee like two or three more times. i nailed my response though.

Well shoot, there's not one for my neighborhood so I applied to join the one in the neighborhood I work in. We'll see how stringent they are about the rules.
How insane is it that in this Federer/Nadal era Djokovic might actually be the GOAT
nah.
fed > djo > nadal, but i enjoy watching nadal more
Not that I necessarily disagree, but there's a pretty good chance Djokovic ends up with the Majors record and he's got the head to head over Fed as well.

yeah probably, i didn't realize he was 32, felt older than that. i think as long as fed's decline isn't very drastic he could still keep ahead, but looking at the overalls you're probably right.
I could supply at least 10 Shannons right now lol.
We have more grapefruit and oranges and tangellos than we know what to do with right now, and we do t even have any citrus trees!
It's been a plentiful season, for sure! My mom told me to freeze them! But these are like grapefruit sized lemons, and I'm not about to buy a chest freezer to house them lol.

Lemons are super easy to preserve if you don't want to waste them.
