Hell yes! Thee Oh Sees at Mammal Gallery on a Monday is going to hurt. That place is hot and loud as hell... Oh well!
Just realized that 9/14 is the first night of Monday Night Football and the Eagles are in the ATL that night to play the Falcons. Isn't the Mammal Gallery pretty close to the Dome? Gonna be some traffic folks. Although its fucking Atlanta, when is there not traffic?
Yea it is close but I think it might be just out of the way enough to not be a big deal. It's a two-minute walk from Five Points Marta if you're into that. Or you can just head south and east to get away from Dome traffic.
Although I would like to see the confluence of Thee Oh Sees concert goers and MNF attendees. Night quite as entertaining as that time the Outkast show and the Garth Brooks show let out at the same time but still pretty entertaining.
Charles Bradley and Black Joe Lewis at the Diamond in Richmond on October 2nd. Drinking beer in a baseball field with the Screaming Eagle of Soul? Might be worth checking out, smellycat.
Going to be hard to pull off Lockn and this, but I may try. My brother is moving into an apartment next weekend that is walking distance to the ballpark.
If you love Pink Floyd's music or go with a fun group, then yes. They sound great and have cool visuals, including some of the stage props from Pink Floyd tours in the past. I enjoyed myself when I went.
Announced this morning that Jason Isbell is coming to a theater in Roanoke in November!
Isbell has always been a friend to the New River Valley, but I must say....the Roanoke music scene has vastly improved since I came up here in 2010. Even though it's mainly alt country/blues rock (Old Crow, Punch Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jason Isbell, Dwight Yoakam, Shaky Graves) it's better than the non-stop pop-country music they were having when I first moved here.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Anyone know how I can go about getting a Sufjan Stevens presale code? I want to get a good seat for this one!
Hmm, I know for the last one it was just "Carrie" - I think I'm remembering that correctly! Try that and also maybe "Lowell" and "Sufjan." Presale codes are sometimes the most obvious choices.

Got a bunch of random shit coming to nola between now and Voodoo. I still may go see Superjoint (Ritual) this Sunday. Dirty Heads is Wednesday, both partial sets I saw this year were very good. Lil Wayne's 75% reunion of Hot Boys is 55/95 plus dick fees. It's curiously sponsored by a local auto accident attorney.
MMJ is the 31st. They have been spectacular this year, and I would see them again if I wasn't going to Pass the Good that weekend. Korn, GRiZ and Papadosio are all coming in October. Crowbar \m/ is August 28 with Goatwhore \m/
I already saw him thrice on this tour hahaha, I'm afraid my bank account might protest to me trying to take on a fourth. Plus I already hit up his two dates closest to me (DC and Philly), and also the one down in NC near my hometown. Sufjan is prob tired of me stalking him by now. But say hello to him for me please!!! The show is incredible.
