Since I'm on here. Might as well get a couple opinions on some other summer bands that I haven't seen yet, but I'm interested in. How are Boston, Awolnation, Matt and Kim, and Matt Pond PA live?
Matt and Kim are a huge dance party, if you like their music and have never seen them, go to the show, you will dance your ass off and have a blast.

I would rather see Third Eye Blind than Matt & Kim. But I'd also rather get a sharp stick in the eye than see Third Eye Blind.
I got some pretty sweet seats for MMJ at the Fox in Atlanta.
I signed up for that roll call member shit last week and blew it this morning because of work. It also didn't help that by the time I got to my computer 15 minutes after it started, that it wasn't very obvious where to go to buy the tickets. Let's just hope I don't get cockblocked by work on friday.
My buddy signed up for Roll Call this weekend and snagged 4 tickets for a group of us. He wasn't able to get Athens. He said it was an instant sell out.

Yea Athens was instant sell out. We struck out on Atl as well.

From people who like Matt and Kim's music, I have heard nothing but rave reviews of their live shows. The people who have negative things to say about Matt and Kim live probably don't really like them on track either. Seeing them live this May, never have before, and I'm excited (and I kinda dig them on track but not passionately - however, I've heard enough amazing things about their shows, I'm pumped to check out the buzz).
Haven't seen the others. Matt Pond PA is great doe

What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Got my tickets for Sunday night as well, the 8pm show. Can't believe he is playing a show at 11pm on a Sunday night and that it sold out in like 8 minutes.

Prince tickets bought for the Sunday show in Louisville!!! So pumped! Kinda gonna fuck me with it being a Sunday but better than nothing at all.
how much were they?
I paid 225 for two tickets. I originally had two tickets in row H for 340 but the site was being a piece of shit and timed out on me. I was livid. But whatever save 115$ and still get to go. I'm in row CC now.
Is this dude gonna go on a full tour or does he just do shows whenever and wherever he wants? I'm not really familiar with Prince's habits as I don't really enjoy his music.

What have you listened to from Prince? He is so varied that usually people can find something, but I suppose it's possible that you wouldn't.
This is the US version of the Hit and Run tour. This tour last April/May-ish in UK featured shows that were announced sometimes 8-10 hours in advance, telling people where to show up. They always sold out, and always rocked. Seriously, try googling reviews of the shows, the praise was effusive. Because whether you like his music or not, he's amazing live. He shreds on guitar (very underrated IMO), will sit at the piano, will lead the band, will dance his ass off, and has even performed DJ sets. Just a talented, talented guy.
Wasn't sure if this had been posted yet, but here is the full schedule.

Maybe this is what I need. A live show. I'm gonna keep track of this tour, and maybe go if tickets aren't gonna be too ridiculous. I've mostly just heard stuff from the 80's (Dirty Mind, Purple Rain, etc.)

Watch Purple Rain if you haven't before. And then listen to the soundtrack on repeat for days afterward. Seriously.

Did anyone listen to the new Tame single, "Let it Happen"? (If this was somehow leaked before today, I apologize for being late on the news. You can feel free to use the "hey everybody, we landed on the moon!" joke from Dumb and Dumber about me - I would).

I haven't seen Tame Impala live before and would really love to, but I'm gonna have to think on this before purchasing because 1) might be hitting up Friday of Gov Ball, in which case I'll be staying that whole weekend in NYC to visit friends, and 2) Echostage is a fantastic venue for EDM/DJ shit, but I've heard that bands don't sound very good there, and having been to the venue I can definitely see why that might be the case.

Hell yeah they are, I saw them in 2013, I think, in Ybor. I liked it, it was great for me though just because I got to sing the Dkin on My Yellow Country Teeth with the group
Is anyone going to the Seth Avett & Jessica Lea Mayfield sing Elliot Smith shows?
We'll be at the Columbus show and I'm so excited! They had their first show last night and I guess in addition to the Elliot Smith songs they did some solo stuff, and some Beatles and Dylan covers.
