Just got tickets for an amazing show at Terrapin Crossroads (Phil Lesh's club in San Rafael, CA). CHECK THIS OUT:
Phil Lesh Warren Haynes John Medeski John Scofield Joe Russo
Jackie Green is opening. I am literally beside myself. (And you wouldn't say I'm misusing "literally" if you could see the two of me sitting here typing this.)
I would love to see Sufjan Stevens at Track 29. I really like that venue too, it's where I saw the AB
Funny...that used to be an ice skating rink back in the day. It was fun then and it's fun now...I took the Cinnamon Girl to see TMBG there in late spring, and it was a really comfortable/great-sounding show.
We picked up tickets aready--anyone going wants to hang at, say, The Terminal Brewhouse before hand, do let me know...

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals tonight at the Fox in Oakland. She's crazy about me. I'm a little worried because I'm bringing the wife and it could get awkward.
Wow... Mansion is a miami beach mega club full of plastic women and bottle service summers breeze bags... It feels like a very very strange venue for dj shadow

That's exactly how I would describe Opera in Atlanta, too. Strange choices.

Well the Majestic in Detroit is awesome, so I'll just consider myself lucky then.

That Coheed/BTBAM tour will be AMAZING! Early Tour of the Year 2013 contender. Will definitely hit up St. Petersburg, possibly Orlando. I'd love to see 'em both at Roo too.
Upcoming shows:
4/18 - Zeds Dead
4/27 - STS9
4/30 - Suicidal Tendencies
5/1 - The Black Crowes
5/2 - A Day to Remember
5/3 - Smashing Pumpkins
5/8 - Phoenix
5/10 - Borgore
5/11 - Clutch
5/16-19 - Hangout Music and Arts Festival
5/25 - Sunset Music Festival
5/26 - Yngwie Malmsteen
6/3 - Killswitch Engage
6/7 - Fleetwood Mac
6/13-16 - BONNAROO
Mar 03 2013 - Dallas, TX - Palladium Ballroom Mar 05 2013 - Atlanta, GA - Tabernacle
And now it's time for me to yell at venues from New Orleans to Pensacola about booking them on the 4th.
Also, seeing BTBAM on tour in a position when they are NOT headlining is just a cocktease. 45 minute set for them is 4 songs. It's weird that they're opening for Coheed. Almost as weird as it was that Coheed opened for Iron Maiden on the second half of their US tour this year. I really want to see Russian Circles. I have missed them like 5 times now because it always happens on a weekday several hours away from me.
5/25: Dillinger Escape Plan
5/30: Andrew W.K. w/ Tony Clifton
6/1: Big Boi w/ Killer Mike
6/13-16: BONNAROO
6/29: Bob Dylan, Wilco, MMJ
6/30: The Grandmothers of Invention
7/11: Seinfeld
7/20: Living Colour
8/1: Mastodon w/ Machine Head
8/7: Melvins
9/5: Iron Maiden w/ Megadeth
10/2: The Legendery Pink Dots
11/1-3: VOODOO
11/14-17: BEAR CREEK

I would be excited to see all the bottle service weenie bags who show up because they see "DJ" on the marquee and leave very confused and disappointed at the lack of fist pumping, "Le7els," and drops.
Sufjan Stevens in Chattanooga at Track 29 at 7 PM on Tuesday, 11/27...any Inforooers going?
Probably not, because Inforooers have terrible taste.
If this was the f*cking Avett Brothers or something the whole Tennessee crew would be there.
Ya because nothing says great music like ironic Christmas songs. I think Sufjan Stevens asked himself what he could possibly do to be more hipster. He thought of "wear ugly Christmas sweaters" but then decided to take it that much further and produce an entire show around the annual hipster ugly sweater party. I hear the PBR eggnog is great and make sure you take a picture of you in your ugly sweater in the photo-booth.
