Stones Brewing Richmond is throwing a shindig in September with Lettuce, The London Souls, NO BS! BRASS, Jeff the Brotherhood, Bright Light Social Hour and Pontiak. It's $10 (beer not included) and should be interesting to see how this plays out. Lettuce and Pontaik does sound good on paper though. With the lack or GWARBBQ, this might be the next best thing this fall.

The always underrated Russ Liquid. First time I saw him was upstairs at Blue Nile trading sets with Quickie Mart. His Russ Liquid Test 3 piece is a pretty great mix of an improv of brass, rock, jam and EDM.

Starting tomorrow I have a ten-day stretch where I am seeing John Moreland, Phatogram/Tycho, and Jimmy Herring. In October I will be seeing Wilco and 48 hours later RTJ.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Has anybody seen Yo La Tengo? There is a free show tonight, and I'm debating if I should go. I don't know any of their songs, but read mostly good things about it.
