Hey! I just arrived home from my first Bonnaroo.. Wow. It was unbelievable! I can't even describe it.
I'm feeling kind of a "crash" from coming home, and was wondering if you guys have any tips? All I want to do is go back, but it would only be a big, empty field.

Haha, I too experience this post-roo sadness. I think it is a combination of how awesome it was, the fact that you are leaving this home that you came so accustomed to after 4 days, and a little bit of alchohol deppression (or something else if you do that).
My depression last year lasted about a week, then you start looking forward to the following year!

That's what I thought, too. At least it'll pass and then... BONNAROO 2012! And, everyone is having a small let-down right now as well, so that is sort of comforting.

I felt a bit sad driving home around Murfreesboro when I lost reception of Radio Bonnaroo. Also, once I got home and took off my wristband while taking a shower and realizing I didn't really get THAT good of a tan
I'm an emotional wreck. Who knew I'd miss that loud ass cuckoo clock, the rickety zip tied ferris wheel, and the insane walk to pod 10?
Most of my heartache is from saying goodbye to someone I finally got to meet after talking to each other for almost a year. I wish I had focused more on enjoying our time together instead of worrying about how short it was. My heart is definitely heavy right now.
I'm in the airport about to catch my last flight to get me back to Honolulu. I already miss Roo, quickly forgetting the uncomfortable parts, thinking only of the amazing parts.
It's a double-whammy for me because I had to also say good bye to my boyfriend of over 5 years when he dropped me off at the airport so he could drive back to where he lives in Wyoming
So are you over your post-Bonnaroo sadness. I'd have to say work picked up quickly so mine has passed. Now I'm hopefully looking forward to being back in 2012! Thinking about buying the pre-sale tickets actually......

Not to go all LeBron on everyone, but I find that the best way to handle post-Bonnaroo "depression" is to actually have a purpose in life or have some role in society the 361 days out of the year that you're not on the farm.

i end up waking up every morning pretty pissed that i have to get up and go to work. i mean, this typically happens year-round, but after remembering/realizing what life could be like everyday ... i get a little peeved. im sick of the 9-5 monotonous life. bahhh.

Definitely had a sad on Monday morning. Didn't get a chance to say good-bye to most of the neighbors as they had already packed up and left. Did get to listen to Radio Bonnaroo all the way up to sign-off, though.
roopression! its eased up and mostly i'm excited to do other things and getting my ass in gear so i can afford to do blackwater this year and hopefully a weekend in new york with a friend. but yeah, its bad. roopression is the worst and the only thing to make it better is... fuck if i know

I hear ya... but as your neighbor an hour to the east, all I can say is at least it isn't February :-)

I always felt the best way to deal with the post-roo blues is to see as many shows/festivals as possible until the next roo. Unfortunately, though, if your life is like mine, the next year will mostly consist of going to class, doing essays and working until June 7, 2012.
