hey there- this morning around 3:30 am at centeroo my boyfriend, Matt, was run over by a security guy on a cart who didn't even stop - he drove away. my boyfriend is now at the Vanderbilt hospital in nashville with a BROKEN NECK.
DID ANYONE WITNESS THIS??? or does anyone know who I can contact?
Lesson here for the rest of us: Do NOT lay down in the dark at bonnaroo. Didn't someone die this way last year or the year before?

Want to know the real lesson here? Bonnaroo hires some negligent and reckless staff and doesn't train them or ensure that they operate dangerous machinery correctly.
I wish her and her boyfriend luck and best of health, quickly recovery and justice. Hopefully someone did witness it on here but fishing for witnesses over inforoo is likely time better spent elsewhere.

I don't remember anyone dying like that in the past four years I've gone. Regardless of where the person was lying, the driver should have stopped to see what the hell he hit, considering he is in a giant field full of people.
Second, he or she shouldn't have been going that fast in the first place. It was night time and Roo is filled with napping people and the staff should have been informed of this. Bonnaroo is liable for this. Witnesses or not, get a lawyer immediately.

Don't gotta be a weenie, dude. I actually agree with you, and that's why I say you probably shouldn't lie down in the field in the dark. Some of those dudes drive recklessly, and people have died. And I never meant to imply fault on the victim.
I hope she can find some witnesses here or elsewhere to ensure she can prove liability.

I get what your saying... My wife has a mobility scooter and people lay down.. anywhere..even on the road.. although with out lights she can still see them and stop... which the security carts have lights..
I hate to hear this, and I wish the best to everyone involved. I was just saying to my wife on Thursday how it seems like the folks on golf carts and Gators are more careless this year. Some of them, especially backstage, freaking FLY through pedestrian traffic. Seems like they were more careful in past years. I saw one guy start his cart and start to drive while looking at his passenger, without turning on his light. There were two girls right in front of him and he bumped one of them pretty soundly before slamming on the brakes.
