I kind of went with the "Headliners that will turn people off but a sick undercard" formula. And FTR, I would totally go if all those bands were on the lineup, even though I really don't care for any of the headliners.
Radiohead/ Jay-Z & Kanye West/ Dave Matthews & Friends
I'm guaranteeing that the lineup for 2012 is going to be better than the "10th anniversary."
Im going to challenge what you say here and say: Each of these bands have played here already. Kanye is extremly unlikely to come back. The biggest options for headliners this summer are: DMB, Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Watch The Throne, Muse, Radiohead, and Foo Fighters. I'm thinking Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Stone Temple Pilots, and Pink Floyd.

Floyd is not touring, STP Wouldn't headline, Chili Peppers are probably in Europe, and while I hope we do not get Foo Fightered I guess they are still a possibility.
if the Black Sabbath reunion happens you could probably bet AC/S would do all that's in their power to get them there. anyone that saw the energy during the Flaming Lips soundcheck in 2007 knows what i'm talking about.
^ i think its fair to say that the average bonnaroo attendee would be very down with Sabbath on the farm.
that said i would say that most people during that sound check were just very excited that the FLips were on stage an hour early and not playing Race for the Prize.

FF and Muse are the only two realistic headliner possibilities that I would actually check out. (I don't consider Radiohead, WtT, Sir Paul, or Prince as realistic possibilities.)

Eh, in 2004 both moe. and Umphrey's played Metallica covers that blew the crowd away, yet many of those same people who were stoked when those bands covered Metallica were steamed when Metallica ACTUALLY played in 2008. "Grumble grumble sell out grumble grumble custies grumble grumble," that sort of thing.
i get what you are saying. but i think all the metallica naysayers are either over it or have turned their backs on bonnaroo long ago. as of 2011 i think most bonnarooers would love sabbath, despite The Osbournes being a popular MTV show for a couple of years. and the Ozzy best buy and Warcraft commercials. shit.
the more i think about it the more i want Lady Gaga and Bjork to be on the same bill just so they can dual headline What and Which at the same time. BATTLE OF THE OBSCURITY DIVAS 2012!
My Father pelted KISS with beers on "5 Cent Beer Night" at SUNY Plattsburgh in like 1972 or 1973, when they were using home-made pyrotechnic kits and did their face paint with do-it-yourself clown make-up, just before they were booed off the stage by a group of 50 drunk college kids. True story.
Crazy Train is now being used in Honda sedan commercials.
If either of them headline, in their current states, I get a nice, long nap.

So you're saying Kanye isn't coming back, but that Watch the Throne is a possibility? So is there a chance that Pink Flyod will play without Roger Waters?
^ i'd rather have an old and terrible Sabbath than an old and terrible Kiss. or an old and terrible Aerosmith. or an old and terrible Rolling Stones.
it would make an interesting poll. Who is the bigger LameArse: Ozzy Osbourne or Gene Simmons.
Agree Sabbath and Kiss are not only old and terrible but very cliche. They are still doing some of the same stichk from the 70's. The stones are old but not terrible, they always do something fresh and new. I don't think they'd play Roo but if they did that would be a Major signing. And Ozzy is the biggest. I saw Ozzfest about 10 years ago in San Bernadino when Judas Priest played right before and Priest blew them off the stage. My friend noted when Preist played everyone in the crowd was up and going crazy when Sabbath played Oz kept having to go "Come on people let's get crazy"
Yeah where are all these Pink Floyd wishes coming from? I think they've made it pretty clear it is not going to happen. The closest you are going to get is Rogers solo
Rogers solo is much more likely. Yeah idk just hoping I guess.
My wish list is Simon and Garfunkel, Rage Against the Machine, Daft Punk, and Tom Waits though. As far as a hip-hop headliner goes it's hard saying this year. I can't think of an A list rapper who hasn't graced the farm yet. I mean Outkast would be amazing but we will see.

what about gaga is obscured? her talent, behind the shitty music and retarded costumes?
