I've seen lots of rap sets, and none of them cut short every song. A couple here and there, whatever, but there comes a point where it becomes ridiculous.
i am just one big advertisement for social media right now, got inforoo, spottily, Facebook, the chat, twitter, that knoxville blog thing, and the ny times stream of sleigh bells all opened at once, constantly refreshing. AHHHHHHHH!!!!

I am by no means old, and I highly enjoy hip hop, and I agree with everything gramps said. He didn't finish ONE song, how is that a good set????????????
You could say something similar about Prince. He does a shit-ton of medleys and truncated versions of his most classic songs, but everyone seems to agree that he's amazing live.
Point is, that kind of performance can work. I didn't see all of Luda's set at Virgin FreeFest, but I liked what I did see.
I had a feeling Aziz was gonna be on the lineup. I was kind of hoping he wasn't. He is probably the only person I would waste time waiting in line for. In 2010 I waited about 2 hours, and was the first person not let in, huge let down.
Did you go and get a ticket before his show? Or were you in the standby line?
Actual line. I want to give up on the comedy tent to bad, but it always calls me back.
yeah luda does a lot of verses live but won't always do the whole song, its more like one into another into another, it keeps you interested and on your feet. gramps don't know shit

Ya know, I'm not expecting to be blown away, but god-damm, I loved Luda back in high school. I'm sure my friends and I will have a great time, and a nice little sing-along to boot!
Dif strokes man, I just hope something plays during Luda that I will enjoy. I just really went into his set excited for it, and left feeling like I had wasted my time.

Luda also covered a TON of songs during his set. Some of it was cool, some of it was annoying. It got to a point where you were like, "Can't he just do his OWN songs? He's got enough good ones."

Sometimes artists have an off day. Maybe give him another chance if nothing else is playing you like.

Yeah, I'm not dying to see him again, but this scenario is a million times better than getting a Drake LN on Which. I'll just see FlyLo or Battles or even Alice Cooper instead of Luda. If Black Star is conflicting with him (doubtful), that'll be easy, too.

so if Black Star happens to be playing with the Roots or something like that and billed above Luda, should we expect to see a bunch of tweets like "Who the fuck is Black Star"?

If the Ludacris thing is legit(which it looks like it is), then I wouldn't be surprised if there are some ppl shocked on here about how high he is billed. When Battle Of The Sexes came out in 2010, debuted @ #1, and sold over 100,000 copies in the first week. Plus he will be playing Roo in support of a new album that he has been working on with The Neptunes.
