I like Neil but if we aren't getting Radiohead and we're getting these pricks, I'll be extremely disappointed. And that's from a loyal Bostonian Roo-er, that road trip is as easy as my morning commute by now

These pricks are Neil / Crazy Horse. I like them, I really do, but if that lineup reads "Neil Young and Crazy Horse - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Phish" I might cut myself. Those acts would be great to have on the farm, but unopposed? Give me a choice, please AC, give me a choice.

Back in the day Neil Young & Crazy Horse was third behind The Dead and Widespread Panic. I know it was a different best back then, but wound NY&CH really get top billing now?

I guess my hopes are too high, bruh. I like acts like Neil and The Stones but the fact is, they're 65+ years old and can't bring it hard enough. I'm not into straight-up novelty acts. You and I could probably both agree that out of Prince, McCartney, Radiohead, and past saturday nighters like Stevie Wonder, Eminem, and Bruce... Neil Young and Crazy Horse can't bring that level of energy. Probably not even close.
This whole idea is also qualified by the notion that Red Hot will be playing friday night, and not Saturday.
You have obviously never seen Neil in one of his electric rock out eras. Neil on The Chrome Dreams Tour was the most energetic show I have ever seen. More than My Morning Jacket
It seems like information on the headliners has become much more difficult the past few years. I remember usually knowing some solid info before New Years in the past. You would think with all the freaks on the internet something bigger would have leaked outside of insider. They keep it hush hush very well as of late.

hell man the neil solo shows he did on the gulf coast in 2010 had crazy energy. i couldn't believe how well he filled the room with sound we just him up there. the crowd was going nuts, and i have to admit in my town crowds tend to suck.

I guess I'll take your word for it. We all know I have a soft spot for a good MMJ comparison. I believed everybody with Portugal. The Man though, and they honestly kinda blew it live.
Everyone seemed to consider "anotherinsider" pretty much a clownass earlier. But if (and this is a pretty big damn if....) Neil and the Horse was the "jaw-dropper" mentioned, then this would be something incredible. Especially, if Radiohead is still in the mix.
And there's no strong anecdotal reason at this point to say they definitely are not.
If both, by miracle, somehow came to pass, then Coach could pretty well go suck it
What if we were never getting RHCP, whether they "fell through," there is still a chance insider was hinting at Radiohead. So maybe we have Neil Young and Crazy Horse sandwiched between Radiohead and Phish.
i could see neil coming back. remember how long he kept on going at the end of "rockin' in the free world" last year with all that feedback? he just didn't wanna quit.
