I left the Eminem set because I was completely unimpressed. Thats a lot of cake for that show.
Disappointment of the year. I knew he lip-synced, but I didn't realize it was that bad until I was 50 feet away from him in the pit where I had been for 6 hours). Plus, compared to the festival shows he had done prior, he brought nothing original to Roo. I literally could have saved my time and simply watched T in the Park from 2010.
Haven't been on in a while and I don't want to repeat something that's already been said, but I thought I would pass along some info I heard today.....
AC/Superfly's Christmas party was this weekend, in which they supposedly mentioned Phish and Radiohead at Roo this summer. As a matter of fact, they announced Phish to the crowd as a headliner (no mention of Radiohead in this public mention, however). Just thought I would pass it along, and didn't know if someone had already brought it up. It may be possible to see something like this at Roo this year:
Fri: RHCP Sat: Radiohead Sun: Phish
WTF 2nd guy to say this? Are these just two n00bs quacking with us or maybe there is some legitimacy to this story.
I'm not trying to fuck with anyone.....just passing along what I heard. Glad to know that there is another with the same story.

Alright. I'm in. I believe this thing now. I'm always overly skeptical as a defense mechanism against being let down, but since I'm not a big Phish person (just don't like jam bands- I realize they're talented) this shouldn't hurt me much if I get fooled.
I'll admit, they're the only Sunday night headliner I could be excited for. I don't like jam bands, but I enjoy some Phish.

Weren't you the same guy who kept assuring us all that Van Halen would be the headliner last year?
Yes. I took a shot and missed. I'm doing the same thing with the artists above...simply, providing my best guess with the little information I know. Just passing along something I heard today; I'm by no means assuring anyone that they will be right. Just my best guess

I have a feeling they are going to be the "big" band this time around if they end up coming back, I would look for them on Friday or Saturday night.
Well then do you think they would have a non-Jam act on Sunday?
My guess would be a classic rock/Jam act. Phish will be the Living Legends, and something smaller for the Modern act. Conversely I could see MMJ stepping into the Sunday night closer instead.
The album was recorded at the legendary Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, New York and London throughout 2011. It also features guest musicians Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder, respectively, on the original compositions ‘My Valentine’ and ‘Only Our Hearts’. New Macca album in February...
Is Eric Clapton < Macca possible or is Clapton too big for a pre-headline Beastie/MMJ spot
Good question. I think Clapton would be a pretty high profile pre headliner but if you take the Stevie--> Jay-Z situation into account I think it is plausible.
