Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
There is one advantage to RHCP being #1. They have to be one of the cheapest #1's since 2005. That implies more cash for the under card
Way to make lemonade there Bacon.
Problem is we will never know. It's not like we find out how much each act gets. They could still be getting a ton of money for a rather pedestrian #1.
Although we all try to be über music nuts and talk about the undercard, the headliners define the festival for the majority. I'm just hoping for a inspired choice for the other headliner spot.

I'm guessing many of those pedestrian fans would be really excited for RHCP
Bonnaroo: Hey, RHCP Manager, we would like to book your band for a headlining spot.
RHCP Manager: Okay. That sounds good.
Bonnaroo: We think your band fits perfectly as the Friday night headliner spot.
RHCP Manager: I agree. We would be a good fit for that. Let me review our current tour schedule.
Bonnaroo: Ok.
RHCP Manager: Hmmm... It seems as though we already have the day before scheduled in Kentucky.
Bonnaroo: Well, that is only a short drive away. That sounds perfect.
RHCP Manager: Normally, I would totally agree with you. But in this case it seems as though we are also booked for the day before that as well.
Bonnaroo: Okay. What is your point?
RHCP Manger: Well, you see, the thing is, if we were to headline on Friday then the RHCP would have to play three nights in a row.
Bonnaroo: I understand. Three nights in a row sounds like a pretty normal stretch of shows, though. I'm sure that for the publicity and money that it won't be a problem.
RHCP Manager: Oh don't get us wrong! We are so excited to play your very popular and important festival! But the thing is, we haven't done three nights in a row yet this tour. If we were to do three nights in a row, just this one time, then what is to stop some other festival from wanting us to also play three nights in a row.
Bonnaroo: Okay.
RHCP Manager: And if we start down that road, what if someone wants us to start playing FOUR nights in a row.
Bonnaroo: Okay.
RHCP Manager: Its just a slippery slope we aren't quite ready to go down at this time. How about the Saturday headliner spot?
Bonnaroo: We were planning on putting a legitimate band in that spot. You know, one that people who enjoy music would like to see. But, when you describe your situation like that, I can see that we should put you on for Saturday. Its really the only option.
RHCP Manager: Go ahead and put us first in the lineup, also.
Bonnaroo: No problem. You can go back to injecting your band members with herion now.

i would say it is on point until u talk shit on the chilis music which is great. however u do an excellent job of depicting the extreme stupidity behind the 3 straight night point
artistic license on the herion usage. representation of the inforoo board's opinion of RHCP for the criticism of their quality. i think the band is interesting. better than eminem, who is also interesting
You guys don't seem to get what I'm saying. Why does everyone seem to think they booked the dates before they were booked for Roo. It seems way more likely that they have know about Roo before they started booking their tour. This would mean that if the band prefers not playing 3 days in a row they would have not booked the Lville show on Thursday. I still think they are playing Saturday

They probably are playing Saturday and number one in the billing order. Did they play unopposed when they last played Lollapalooza?
maybe i subconsciously spelled it HERION because i thought it would be edited into "no no word" or something. i might also just not know how to spell it. i misspelled it again on the next post

This is one of the better recent set-lists for RHCP. This ones from LG Arena in England. If they brought something like this to Bonnaroo, I'd be perfectly happy....with a Friday headlining set.
