If you're not watching Refused, you are doing it wrong. No exceptions.
If I wanted to listen to emo-scremo I would listen to SKrillex's first band.
This is the most ignorant thing that I have read on this board so far. If you were trolling it would be one thing, but gotdamn. I'm not even goi n g to aasdkuhajsdfl;gkjankdjfngadf i.imgur.com/FC6JH.gif [/img]

All those bass drops have warped his mind.
Whoa, so I've been listening to Refused on Spotify. I'll give them credit, that cover of the Bloody Beetroots song they have is pretty awesome.

I was actually joking. It's a rough conflict for me but I've seen M83 recently and never seen Refused. If you get some time after the set, I'd check it out.

I've got mixed feelings about watching Refused on the stream. On one hand, it's friggin' Refused. On the other, it might be cool to go into the Atlanta show totally fresh.
Eh....I'll probably end up watching the stream anyway. Because I am weak and lack discipline.

I have to ask. What is the appeal of Refused? I admit I only have heard a few songs but none of them appealed to me. I am not into hardcore music anymore and honestly I didn't think most of this board was either. I'm not trying to be disrespectful or an a$$hat, I am legitimately asking why so many people are into Refused.

As a "hardcore dude", they've gained notoriety because their music was influential to what the genre is now. It's really slick marketing and music snobs being able to "experience" a band first. Accessible to people pretending to "be in the know", just different enough to be acceptable by the dogmatic goons. I am way too young to have seen this band in their prime, but so is everyone else and nostalgia sells. Check out Trapped Under Ice if you enjoy them.
I'll be watching the webcast throughout the weekend to clear up some conflicts (Gary Clark/Neon Indian, EITS/Black Keys/M83, ASAP/Radiohead[probably just see them at Roo], Justice/Girl Talk). Anyone have any advice for a 2-year Roo vet?

Honestly hadn't ever even heard of James until I turned on the webcast 20 minutes ago. I also didn't know the song "Laid" wasn't originally by that douchey guy whose name I can't think of.
