so excited I even decided to make my first post. I have been lurking all year. luckily I get to see Beirut a week earlier, and saw Explosions just last week, so no huge conflicts. I will miss Mumford and Decemberists, but those will likely be super crowded anyway. Wanda>Del will be nice and more likely not seen again anyway. Same with Loretta Lynn.

Sunday is mostly full shows. Lots of time n That tent with a run for Robert Plant thrown in.
I figure I can see an hour of Del and then head over for most of MMJ. I expect to miss 15-30 minutes of each show in order to see the next across the board, but I am fine with that. If someone is blowing me away I can always stick around a bit longer.
i agree MMJ deserves love all day every day. Glad to see them finally make it to the Main stage.. You will find me in the pit during that show
Very nice how that worked out. Still, I feel like it's too bad they didn't just schedule them after Arcade Fire so they could play as long as they want... Oh well.

Is anyone else in here really pissed about the Dr John and Bootsy conflict. Those are the 2 shows I wanna see very badly, now I can't! I makes no sense to me why they would have these shows conflicting.

I just had a very interesting thought. I think the organizers intentionally made the choices harder to help avoid having every show packed out the arse. In one sense I was initially disappointed with all the conflicts (the most I've ever had at any fest any year!) but in another sense It is a savvy move by the organizers if my theory is correct. It sure would be nice to not be packed 40-50k deep for every show. They may be making us make the tough calls so that there's more room for those who make them.

I hope someone feels the same way I do
Luckily I can see Bootsy the following week. But yes, that is the worst scheduing they could have done imo. I want to see the gay dance party for Scissor sisters as well as the crunchy grooves of String Cheese. I have no idea who I will pick either.

yep. you have to spread the crowds out, although the BLack Keys>BS>Eminem all solo kinda rules out that idea. But for the tents, that makes a lot of sense.

OH awesome, I just saw Bootsy is playing the Orange Peel 2 weeks after roo, so I'm saved......

I was going to use that logic too.... but then buffalo springfield unconstested at which just ruined it. We're going to have unconstested headline what size crowds at which, it will be a disaster!
I think to print the highlighted schedule (Ie, if you dont want to wait for someone to make an excel spreadsheet you can highlight in your own colors), I think you can click the Widescreen option, right click, hit Print, then make sure your printer settings are on landscape instead of the automatic portrait (to print it horizontally and not cut it off)... I think that should work, but I havent tried it yet since I'm not done highlighting

Not necessarily. The younger crowd will probably be lining up for Eminem's set on the What stage. I'm 24 and I know there are a good amount of young people who want to see Buffalo Springfield as well but I think there's also a ton of people who don't know/don't care about Buffalo Springfield.
No doubt.....it will be crowded.....but I don't know if it'll be most of the festival there. I could see a good portion of people either taking a break at camp before Eminem or staking out a spot at the What stage.
!!! (bang bang bang) has a conflict for me. They are up against mumford & sons and The Black Keys. However, they are listed on the sonic stage for a half hour @ 3:45.
I know this may sound like a stupid question, but does this mean that they are playing 2 different sets on 2 different stages in the same day?
I just hit print without changing any settings... It printed fine everything fit to it's own page.
EDIT: If no one has stepped up to the plate to make the spreadsheet by the time I get home from work and errands, I'll do it. But that will be a good few hours from now. And I have Apple iWorks.. but that supposedly is compatible with Microsoft Office?
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

When on Zoltroo, click on VIEW: Full Schedule(<----or click here) I then hit print on my computer, the one located under file, the button on the top left of your computer screen.

Yes! I'll probably catch their Sonic Stage set before heading over to Allison Krauss.
