Just realized Walkmen vs. Sleigh Bells. Those are my top two that day cause I'm seeing Deerhunter later in the year. Man, so many conflicts across the board.l
Futurebirds Wavves Best Coast J. Cole Sleigh Bells Deerhunter
Friday
420 Comedy Blaze Bela Fleck Matt and Kim Decemberists MMJ Arcade Fire Bassnecter/Big Boi Pretty Light/ Shpongle
Saturday
Black Joe Lewis Old Crow Deer Tick Portugal. The Man Mumford and Sons Black Keys Buffalo Springfield Eminem SCI Gogol Bordello (biggest party all weekend)
Sunday
The Head and The Heart The League Bruce Hornsby Galactic Cold War Kids The Strokes Widespread Panic
Awwwwwwwesome. I'm incredibly pumped for Thursday, it looks like it might be the best Thursday night they've ever had. But I'm also really upset to be missing Sunday now - that whole 4:30-8:30 timeslot looks beyond phenomenal. Someone needs to tape that superjam!
Only an hour and a half for all but one of the top five acts is slightly disappointing. I think the long set times they've had in the past are a big part of what puts Bonnaroo a step above Lolla and Coachella. Oh well, at least MMJ is getting a solid two hours. And I think it's amazing that Black Keys > Buffalo Springfield > Eminem is all almost entirely unopposed (except for the first 30 minutes of Black Keys). I really did not expect them to do that. But that whole swarm of people is going to be 10x the clusterquack that Beastie Boys > David Byrne > Phish was.
By the way, does that 2.5 hour gap in This Tent on Saturday look slightly suspicious to anyone else?

I'm torn between SCI and Dr. John and Iron & wine and Gregg Allman
and I'm going with Explosions in the sky over Beirut, but I'm really bummed out.
That being said it could have been waaaaaaaaaaaay worse and I'm very happy that I get to see Ray Lamontagne, Buffalo Springfield, and My Morning Jacket without conflict which was my hope!

Which acts are you looking forward to on Thursday? I need to start my research.
Also, I get the feeling that AF and Eminem will play a little longer than their scheduled time.....though I did find it odd.
Is this for real? Fuck. Decemberists, Ray LaMontagne, Florence + the Machine. UGH. I have to choose Ray, but I'm bummed about the other two. As far as I see, that's the only knife to my chest so far.

Having The Meters/Dr. John playing That Tent at the same time that Bootsy Collins plays The Other Tent is more than just a scheduling conflict. I don't think our best scientists understand the physical, biological, and chemical effects of such a profound concentration of funkiness.

AF is scheduled to play 2 1/2 hours....... I hope I can get into them by bonnaroo, might as well since there's nothing else going on. I've listened to funeral and suburbs multiple times now and I just can't get into it. Oh well I'll keep trying. Anyone know any older material that's good?

That Thursday The Walkmen vs. Twin Shadow conflict is really tough for me, but I imagine I'm the only one having a tough time with that conflict.
Clearly, the toughest conflict on the schedule is Robert Plant vs. The Strokes vs. EITS vs. Dr John/Auerbach Superjam vs. Beirut. How in Christ's name did that happen? (not to mention Robyn vs. Iron & Wine before that)
Here's what my personal schedule looks like:
THURSDAY: Futurebirds Wavves Best Coast J. Cole (try like hell to catch as much as I can of The Walkmen) Deerhunter Little bit of Dam-Funk
FRIDAY: Sharon van Etten Phosphorescent Bela Fleck The Sword/rest/eat Opeth The Decemberists My Morning Jacket Arcade Fire The Black Angels Lil Wayne
SATURDAY: BJL & the Honeybears Donald Glover/rest/eat Deer Tick Alison Krauss Man Man Wiz Khalifa !!! The Black Keys Buffalo Springfield Eminem Dr. John Desitively Bonnaroo whichever of Girl Talk/STS9/Gogol Bordello that sounds best at the time
SUNDAY: Railroad Earth Smith Westerns Mavis Staples Bruce Hornsby/rest/eat Daniel Lanois' Black Dub Robyn Beirut The Strokes WSP
The sets that conflict will surely be determined by how much fun I'm having at the set I'm at.

This conflict makes absolutely no sense at all.
Seriously, quite the head scratcher. I wish one of them would have been Friday night so I would have something to see.

They're only scheduled an hour and a half. 12:00-1:30.
If you're not into them.....I suggest getting a super close spot for a late night. Nothing quite like that.

Dr. John / Bootsie conflict has got to be one of the worst scheduling jobs of all time. Right now I'm leaning towards seeing Bootsie. Girl Talk & Gogol Bordello is another one that will be tough on me. Overall though the schedule works out pretty well for me.
Why would they conflict those two superjams? Both would attract a similar crowd, why not just put them together in a tent?
Not sure. I am just glad that Gogol is after Dr. John......I thought for sure those would be at the same time. Also, I'm thinking Claypool comes out and plays a bit with both Bootsy and Gogol so maybe that's one reason to put those two shows in the same tent.

G. Love X 2 on Sunday!! Also it looks like they have gotten rid of Loretta Lynn. Friday will be rough though on the late night. Beats Antique late night Thursday!!! Glad they did not strike me as a daytime show I will need several groupies for that show so I can role in pimp like with a professinal group of hooping belly dancers. Volunteer quickly spots are filling up!!!
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
The Gypsy Punk Review is not on the schedule. Or at least, I don't see it. Maybe this went up before they were finished? Just maybe?
Possibly just the name of the stage that's being curated by Eugene Hutz and not an actual show. Could be The Other Tent on Saturday....or maybe after the last show there could be a surprise "Gypsy Punk Revue" on that stage that's not scheduled (or will be scheduled later)

Also Omar Souleyman has dissapeared as well what is up with that I was hoping that he would have Bjork in a guest spot as she has an album comming out with him there are definate problems with this schedule. I hate to say this people but I think this schedule jumped the shark!!
