Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Since it hasn't been released and is only playing to showings that Smith is hosting, I suspect the rating largely has something to do with the Phelps clan.
I doubt any of those people have enough of a grasp of the workings of the internet to go on Rotten Tomatoes and give the movie bad reviews.
I'd chalk it up to the pissed-off critics who Kevin Smith got all bitchy at when they said bad things about the movie.
For making such kick-ass movies, Kevin Smith is a huge smurf.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Kevin Smith lost me a decade ago (and he was pushing it before then). Best thing he ever did was his short run as writer for Daredevil back in the late 90s.

Clerks is classic. Mallrats was great for it's time but it feels too campy and dated now. I'd say the same for Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Chasing Amy is just a great move. quack the haters Clerks 2 was alright and could'vebeen better.. The dialogue was great as always, but the whole donkey sex thing at the end was so goddamn stupid I'm really interested to see Red State. It would be the first movie I would see at roo that would be possibly worth missing a band for. Esp if Smith does a Q+A. I attended one once and it was more of a standup routine. That man can talk, and he is hilarious

Big Kevin Smith fan. Been a fan since Mallrats and Clerks. Understand the negative comments but for me.....I enjoy his work. I've also really loved his podcasts where you get to hear a lot more inside info about his life, career, and movies and listening to that really made me a bigger fan of his. All the people who dislike his movies can rest easy that he plans on making just one more and then will be done with films.
That said........I like that Roo got Zach Braff but almost certainly won't be attending the Q n A.
if we're making requests for directors to come talk in the cinema tent, then i want werner herzog to come discuss grizzly man... or any movie he's made for that matter
So you want Werner Herzog to come discuss Grizzly Man?
i do. apologies for the double herzog post in the course of the thread. was a little out of it.
and to whoever suggested it, bad lieutenant would definitely be a great cinema tent film. i went with grizzly man because its the film of his i've seen the most and it has such a fascinating main character.

Eh, if they can figure out Twitter they surely can figure out Rotten Tomatoes.
That said, pissed off critics and others that don't like his movement to snub the studio system could certainly factor in. Plus, you know, people who just don't like the movie...

No need to apologize, man. I was totally joking around.

Huge Scrubs fan!!! I don't know if I will have time to squeeze this in, but I def. think it would be worth a check out if there are no conflicts. Garden State was a solid movie and the soundtrack was amazing. I don't understand why people hate Scrubs so much. Dr. Cox is one of the best characters on TV and I watch any rerun that Comedy Central plays.

In my experience, it's style of humor just wasn't fer everyone. Those of us who enjoyed the humor love the show, those that didn't don't care much fer it at all.
I'm snowed in watching Garden State on DVD.. Did anyone go to this back in 2011? I remember trying but the line was so long I just said fuck it.. If so how was it? Did he say anything worth mentioning?
