The key elements that stand out are that the guys have great chemistry since they are friends in real life and they all have their defined roles. Adam is the not-as-tough as he thinks manipulative frat guy, Anders is the vain pretty boy, and Blake is the wacky/hippy/nice guy.
It's great and reminds me a lot of the setup of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I look forward to more seasons of this show.
Anyone been to a Thursday night comedy set? I wonder what time they'll be handing out those tickets. I'll probably just make the one Saturday morning but I was really hoping to get some rest then. Only problem with Thursday night is I'd have to miss some of Deerhunter to make it...

I've been to Thursday night comedy before. I think you'll be able to get comedy tickets before Deerhunter starts....but not positive. I'm shooting for that midnight show. I figure it'll be more funny than the next day....after guys are kinda tired from partying

The crappy thing is.....they don't let us know what order the comedians go on. The main reason I'm going to this is to see workaholics. I'm a fan of Cheech Marin but not dying to see his solo stand up. Same with Ralphie May and Jay Pharaoh.....I find them all funny but I want to see Workaholics the most.
So if you knew Workaholics came out last....you'd be able to run from Deerhunter to the end of the comedy show.....but the way they do it you don't know which act is introduced first and all that.
No kidding, some details would be nice but it is what it is I guess. I'd imagine Cheech will curate the set so maybe Workaholics will get at least half an hour (they'll likely go on first I'd imagine, after Cheech has a little time)

Cheech will likely give a few jokes early on and inbetween the three regular comedy sets. I thought it was just going to be workaholics and Ralphie May but it looks like according to the schedule they added another guy who's on saturday night live and is pretty funny named Jay Pharaoh.
Awesome! He hasn't gotten much time on SNL yet but he's hilarious every time he's used. Great at impressions. He's one of the new guys who will definitely be getting more face time next season.

Yea I've been impressed by a lot of things he's done. I'd like to see him do less impressions and more original stuff but I'm sure that time will come.

Unfortunately even if you did know the order, you'd only be able to get in if the tent wasn't already full. They let standby people in right before the show starts to fill it up.
The only time I ever made it inside was 2005, can't even remember who it was for, and someone mentioned something about tickets on here. I don't remember them having tickets back then, I'm assuming there's no fee for them also. Do you basically just wait in line and hope to make it in, do they give tickets to you up front? What's the deal? Really wanna see this Workaholics show.

Go to the thread index (should be at the top of this forum, sticky'd) and look for the comedy thread for more details but it basically works like this:
You can pick up a ticket for the show you want to see before it's supposed to start. The ticket guarantees you entry and lets you walk around and go see music without having to wait in line for an hour or two for a show. You can wait in line if you want to get a great seat but if you have a ticket you can just walk up when the show is supposed to start. Ask the people handing out tickets when is the best time to pick up a ticket.

I had no real interest in seeing any comedy, but then I saw many episodes of workaholics and it became one of my favorite shows ever....so I have to see this. Are the tickets handed out in front of the comedy tent?

Yes, there should be a few people handing out tickets by the entrance. I'm going right after the 10:00 p.m. show starts to ask the workers for a Workaholics comedy pass.
