Finally got around to listening to the new album today as it's also being streamed at spinner.com. My verdict is it's awesome and a better album than their first two (never had a chance to listen to their last one). I like the tone of the music a lot more. Anyway, I really hope they don't conflict with any of my big acts so I can see them again.

i just started listening to these guys two days ago....they are now at the top of my "to see" list. hell, i'll even wear some face paint to show my new dedication...sucks they conflict with Portugal. The Man, whom i had originally planned on catching, but no way i'm missing man man...no effing way

agreed. the new album is awesome.
their last one (rabbit habits) is the perfect marriage between life fantastic and their older stuff. it's like some sort of strange, bizarre circus that you never want to stop dancing too
So effing pumped to see them! The chorus that kicks in right at the 6 minute mark on this song, I don't know what they're saying but I always sing along in my head like they're saying "Heeeyyyyy Bonnn-a-roooooo"

i was real psyched to see these guys, but then they had to be put up against devotchka, and i saw man man last year so i will unfortunately be missing them

I can respect that. I haven't seen either live yet and Man Man just sounds like it'll be a lot more fun

I learned about Man Man several years ago... I turned my gf on to them... I got to see them live while she had to make an appearance at a wedding... she still gets mad at me if I bring their live show up in conversation... luckily we will be able to enjoy them together at Roo... hopefully she won't get mad at me for bringing them up anymore. HOPEFULLY...
part 2 of my last post: this is my favorite song from rabbit habits. if they play it on the farm i am gonna flip
Uhhh, Butter Beans?
It may be in my top 5 songs of all time. I wrote a paper about it for Modern Ethnomusicology 310.
that's sick dude. friday for that. butter beans is sick for sure. i think most of those songs on that album were my favorite at some point.
ps. i got away with writing not one but TWO papers about the dead in college. they were just freshman english classes though; a little more respect for a 300-level class
