Haha I actually ask Gary every band that pops up here that makes a little sense.
Perhaps you should use a bit of discretion. We know he reads the topics, let him address specific bands that way. Let us use Twitter as a means to ask questions to ascertain the answer, not to guess wildly. It saves everyone from unnecessary reading and keeps things orderly.
No, because we know that it wouldn't be that obvious >_>
I never just throw away the obvious....when these clues first started....Pearl Jam's clue was 'Janis Joplin's Preserves'......sometimes things ARE so obvious, that we just don't think to use them, really!
they are a young band (just put out their debut LP this year), goes with the 'palette' theme, and their album cover is a mess of red, white, and blue. a warrior may also be considered a heathen, i suppose.
plus they played a show at the Troo Music Lounge at Bonnaroo last year, if im not mistaken.
Their set was also a late night, going against more well know bands(giants).
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Obvious is one thing, but putting the artist's name in the clue is something else entirely!
Rooin' since '05...(except 2014...worst June of my life!)
"Hey Peter Frampton! Do you like toast too? Yes, as do I. It is warm and crispy, and a perfect place for jelly to lay. Now stay the hell away from me Frampton, I ain’t got sh*t to say to you!"

The first is Furthur/Phil Lesh and Friends, whatever you want to call it. Here are some lyrics from U.S. Blues:
Red and white/blue suede shoes I'm Uncle Sam /how do you do? Gimme five/I'm still alive Ain't no luck/I learned to duck
I'm Uncle Sam /that's who I am Been hidin' out/in a rock and roll band Shake the hand that shook the hand Of P.T. Barnum/and Charlie Chan
First, the song includes Red, White, Blue. The second stanza, the "hidin out in a rock and roll band" among entertainment giants P.T Barnum and Charlie Chan seems to fit as well. As for the "Ten I see," Tennessee Jed appears to fit. As for "Farm Heathen," the Dead began as the Warlocks, who were initially a Jug Band, which would be pretty common on a farm.
The second is They Might Be Giants - If the "Ten I see" is in fact referring to a band that played last year, clearly TMBG fit that description, along with the fact that they have a track on the Future Soundtrack for America (Red White and Blue).

Just a couple thoughts that may lead somewhere.
GD also has a song called Tennessee Jed. Don't know how the rest fits in though.
Nice album artwork, but does an explanation come with it? It looks good for the answer, but normally explanations are good.
i explained it on page 7, towards the bottom.
also, just as a curiosity, who played at the same time as They Might Be Giants last year?
Now, do people know why I did what I did. I post a logical answer and then there are 4-5 posts about Radiohead and my answer gets lost in the shuffle.
If already answered, Warpaint played against KOL. But Kings can be inserted for Giants. It's a good answer. We'll see.
EDIT: Just started looking at Akron/Family for the answer. Family could play in the second part of the clue and their website has flags on it. Could be the first part of the clue.
