Several posts about Aerosmith, but I think only Steven Tyler thinks they are still a band From what I've read, he and Joe Perry are still on the outs. I would love to see it, though.
Also - just throwing these out there, but thinking of like the word King (throne) - we have Kings Go Forth, and Decemberists just put out 'The King is Dead'.
One of the Songs on the decemberists new album is called "All Arise!" (magistrate, and it contains a "character") but i dont think this clue is about them....
folks it's without a doubt the gorillaz. believe me on this one.
In every thread there is one or two people who are CERTAIN. and then later proven wrong.
You havent really given a solid theory. You just typed the whole clue into google. No offense meant here, but if you are going to be so certain, have a reason to be

damon albron is a veteran in the music industry (Blur) and the Gorillaz use cartoon (characters) and also there are about ten members (of sorts). Now someone help me connect the crab
I mentioned this before, but I've amended my theory... what about Justice?
1) A "justice" is a magistrate.
2) The band often goes by the symbol "†"... a character "of sorts", using the definition: "sort - characters of a particular font that are rarely used". Crosses as font characters are rarely used.
3) They're veterans of the electronic music scene having remixed lots of Roo artists. They're veterans of the festival scene having played tons of festivals (not Roo though).
4) They're from Versailles, France, home of the Palace of Versailles. Since the Palace and throne still exist but there's no longer a monarchy in France, the throne can't be abdicated as there's nobody to abdicate.
5) Versailles means "to keep turning over". When a crab finds a home, it eventually outgrows it and moves on to another one... the ocean's version of a house flipper.

Even if it isn't right, Coco for your excellent theory. We need more users like you working on these clues!

The first part, "A veteran and magistrate OR a character of sorts" might point to the name Jack. I thought of the jack from playing cards, who is a soldier (veteran, magistrate) OR a character of sorts (a character found on cards that one might sort).
This could point to one of Jack White's bands (for the second part of the clue) or it could be another Jack or a song or an album...
I'm thinking maybe Wanda Jackson and Jack White
As your logic points out, Jack White fits the first part of the clue decently well, and he is certainly a character of sorts. Wanda Jackson, according to her website, is the "Queen of Rock". Crabs can make a dwelling out of rock, and that is certainly a throne she cannot abdicate.
why the hell would kanye come back after what happened
Thank you. They would NEVER be stupid enough to ask him to come back. They know he's hated. Hate for him is spray painted on the fence for Christ's sake...or was.
