I love all of their albums. Their new album definitely sounds a little different but I don't think that's a bad thing.
Loyalty to Loyalty has some great songs (Welcome to the Occupation, Golden Gate Jumpers, Dreams Old Men Dream) and the way that they go from "Avalanche In B" into "I've Seen Enough" always sounds awesome.

so 'loyalty to loyalty' sounds more like 'robbers and cowards'??

Yea listen to the songs, read the lyrics, really pay attention to what your listening to. Nothing bothers me more than people who passively listen to an album once while it's in their car or while they're not paying attention and then judge it. For me....listening is something you have to actively do to understand each song and what it's about.
I like the new album. At first I was little surprised as it does sound different, but different isn't always bad. There are definitely some really good tunes on it, 'Bulldozer' and 'Cold Toes on the Cold Floor' always get stuck in my head..
I'll have to check it out. I only have "robbers & cowards" on my ipod right now but that is a really good album IMO. How would you say "mine is yours" compares?
Cold war kids is one of my exciting new discoveries this year can't wait to see them live in June.

'robbers and cowards' got me hooked. the entire album is filled with gems.
i have yet to listen to 'loyalty to loyalty' so i can't comment on it.
'mine is yours' took a couple of spins for me to really get into.
guess they hired the same producer that did KOL's 2 most recent albums.
lots of fans don't agree with CWK's sound on the new album.
guess they were hoping for another 'robbers and cowards'.
Yeah I've had friends tell me the new one (mine is yours) isn't that good especially compared to "robbers & cowards" so I was curious what other peoples opinions were...

Mine is Yours is great......I listened to it a lot when I first got it....then put it aside for a little while and put it on again the other day and was really digging it.

This was one of my favorite shows of the weekend at Coachella. I've got a decent recording that I'll post a link to soon. I'd love to see them Friday evening on the Which stage sun going down and these guys getting rowdy.

I caught a little of their Sasquatch performance via the webcast. They sounded really good. Their cover of "Long As I Can See The Light" will send chills up your spine.

Seeing them at a free show they're doing tonight in Forsyth Park in Savannah. I'll report back. When I saw them in January they didn't play Saint John, which made me sad
